sorry to move the thread back on track a bit, but, i don't get the interest in gadgets, gizmos, flash cars and the like - as long as it does the job i like the cheapest/best value for money.

i would rather wait to find a book in a charity shop or a dvd to be on sale before i purchase it - it pains me to have to pay full price for anything (even groceries).

my OH have different attitudes to money and i too constantly feel like i am scrimping to make up for OHs overspend (although it is illness related).

anyway, just felt like a quick moan - and your thread is really inspirational!:T

Steve got a bit upset last night at the comments about him on here. He feels like everyone's picking on him for spending money on his lunches etc at work when in reality he's cut his spending from around £10 a day on rubbish to £4 a day on just food. He thinks that he's the bad man because everyone on here seems to be judging him on that he spends about £4 a day.
This is because Ste is looking at it from a different angle we are. Ste sees it as you have descibed, whereas we see it as making a hole in a strict budget. When you add it to not waiting for a tv or an xbox, and also to your posts when you get stressed about spending the equavalent on some clothes it seems that Ste isn't as committed as you are to being a DFW, and you're not as committed to being a DFW when it comes to Ste.

Having said this, you didn't spend any 'proper cash' on the xbox and now you can get back on track too with paying off Dotty Ps.
