Almost 4 years have passed since I joined MSE. Laden with almost £100k of debt <snip> whilst I am not quite debt free yet, if all goes according to plan, then I will be by Christmas.

What an absolute inspiration this post is. Well done on your achievements

Evening Hypno, just catching up I see you sold the house, how long did it take? Where are you moving to, still local? Sounds like a crazy few weeks ahead for you, will be nice if you can get in and somewhat settled before Xmas.

With the kids away definately time to settle on the sofa and maybe have a little cheeky glass of something

A glass of something was a priority. There will be more to follow, I am sure.

I put the house on the market in about mid August by the time the necessary details had been done, and I got an offer on it at the end of October, so not too bad really considering the climate. We are staying local, and I am buying a new build (ish, it is currently occupied). If anyone wants to be nosey, then head to the Norfolk Homes website and look at the Poringland development - I am buying one of the "newton C" type houses. Very different to what I have at the moment, but very practical and I am very much looking forward to the ease of that type of house, at least in the short to mid term.

Wow not too long at all which I am sure you are grateful for, my sisters house is on the market and so far no viewings, although not the best time of year really.

New house and with no debts by the looks at it, the new start you need. I know when I moved here after all my drama it just felt so right, like the new beginning I so needed :D
