Hi Hypno - quick question, do you still have your website with the downloads? Been to a 'stress busting' session today with a hypnotherapist and so impressed with the relaxation exercises she talked us through - think I need something like that I can listen to when I need to.. either that or I need to go back there and kidnap the woman so she is constantly available :rotfl:

So.....apart from the weight - and going back to the hibernation issue, I need to slap myself a bit otherwise my fleecy blanket on the sofa will be too much of a habit, and nothing else will get done. I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed again. It is 4ish weeks til Christmas, and I hope to move house, yet I am not spending my evenings sorting and packing as I should, in order to make the move easier.
I need a boost of energy, to get me off my backside and making the most of the time etc that I have - not just work and house stuff, but "life" stuff too. I have had some really nice compliments paid to me recently, but don't have the confidence/energy to get out there and enjoy life and to make the most of it. It was a huge step to go back skiing last week, even though the people there are people I have known for the last 10 years or so, and who I feel very comfortable with. It was definitely a step in the right direction, but it isn't exactly pushing the boundaries in any way.
I love going to the football, and have a great group of friends there, and I do so look forward to the matches. However, they have been part of that same group for years and I am a relative newcomer, so I need to stop thinking like a newbie and be less shy.
And that is it - I need to do something else, get out more, I don't know.....I guess I am not enjoying my "space" at home right now because it is all boxes and stress, and when I move I will certainly have "my" space to love giving me a fresh start - but I don't want to run the risk of just holing myself up for the rest of the winter in my new home, and not investigating what else is going on in the world! Equally, I need to ensure that what needs to be done at home (including lesson planning etc) is actually done in good time, in order that when I DO sit down in my nice new lounge, it is truly in a state of relaxation rather than avoidance!
Gah, this journey is tough going at times!!
First and foremost I would say - take it easy on yourself. I mentioned the other week that I was in hibernation mode and there will be millions more like us. You seem quite like me in that you are a "lark" and have more energy in the mornings. If you start early enough, you can get on a roll and go like a rocket - leaving mere mortals reeling at your work rate.
It's unfortunate that you are moving in the dead of Winter, when all hours of (productive) daylight are spent working. When you get home (as a lark) it is "night" so all you want to do is curl up and sleep - Me too!!!
So, I wouldn't beat yourself up to pack boxes during the week. Just start as soon as you get up on Saturday (plus you said you had some time off?) and you will get through so much more in one day than you will all week. When we moved, I spent my days at work making lists to do that evening and invariably did nothing, cos I was too tired.
As for the other social stuff, well this year has been a MASSIVE period of adjustment and you have had to deal with situations in unchartered territory. But, you have come through the other side admirably and have arrived at 40 in a new and exciting place; the weight you've wanted to be for years, a new home and DEBT FREE :T:T:T
So DON'T focus on what you have yet to do, all that will fall into place, because it always does. I think once you have moved and got settled you'll start to feel more comfortable in your own skin again. Soon it will be Spring and you will blossom once again! Things just take time that's all, so go with it
PS, why not spend a bit extra and pay for the Bl**dy packing to be done for you? I'm sure you could justify it for less stress and peace of mind. Take care xxx0
