Thankfully it is at the point that I don't need to do much, and it looks after itself. I get a small payment from it each month, which goes into a separate bank account, and I am looking to just leave it there, and not use it. It doesn't amount to a huge amount, but it will be very useful holiday money in due course, or again there for emergencies.....but if that, and any odds and ends of teaching money can remain untouched, then I will be more than happy.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. The Jarrold stand is normally quite well behaved. When I started taking DS, we said that any words he heard/said in the ground stayed in the ground.....if I heard them repeated outside there would be bother but if I heard them in the ground, as long as they not abusive, I would not worry. He is now 15 and certainly doesn't use bad language as the norm.....although he has a very colourful vocab during the match.
I sit in the lower Barclay.....4 rows up, just behind the goal.......I certainly wouldn't be taking a 7 year old thereI hope you both enjoy it, and that the goals are all in our favour.....OTBC :T
Sounds like you're having a fun week Ms Hypno!
Oh yes, I amLast night was fab - and because I was driving, very MSE....the band were superb, as were the support act before them - lots of laughs, lots of fun.
Today I am hoping to meet a friend for dinner, and then tomorrow is London and Les Mis.......tis a good week indeed :T

hi hypno, just popping out of lurkdom to have a chuckle about taking small children to football matches
I think what you said to your DS is brilliant, and great for him that he could partake of the atmosphere and know there wouldn't be any trouble while it was part of the match environment
I will remember this one just in case :T
My family are West Brom supporters (even though my Grandad played for Villa for a short period!) and although we lived in Milton Keynes when I was younger, we would regularly go up on the train to watch home matches with my dad while my mum was having a rest
We used to sit in the family bit as it was then, and I can remember very clearly asking my dad why there were people walking down the side of the pitch having linked arms with a policeman (or 2!). He very calmly used to tell us that the man had got lost and the police were trying to help him find his way etc. Amazing what you will believe when you are 7 and you think your dad knows everything :rotfl:
I went to a match at Crystal Palace about a year or so with my dad and my brother, and both me and my brother were digging him in the ribs every time we saw a policeman in the ground - "Dad, do you think he's waiting to show people the way" - it was very funny.
It's a great experience to share as a child and I feel sad for any children who love football but only get to see footie on the telly. We used to go to non-league matches too and some of the language was far worse
on another note, great to hear about all your latest adventures, and glad your happy cup is brimming over! :j0 -

I drink in the Murderers beforehand and Lloyds on Riverside after the match.....:D And yes, I am hardcore - my season ticket is very precious to me and I wouldn't want to sit anywhere elseAlthough when I was heavily pregnant with DD, my OH made me sit in the River End so that I didn't get too excited and potentially give birth during the game :rotfl:
The gig was at the Waterfront.....was superb - a great atmosphere. I love going there and the UEA - always a good night out :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Mind you - we still sit 10 rows apart from each other so that we don't embarrass each other.....just in case :rotfl:
Actually, close to where he sits, one of his school teachers sits - and they have a similar agreement....what is said in the ground is not to be repeated at school, other than the usual "good match on Saturday" stuff, and it has worked well so far. I think it does them good to know that there are different things for different situations, and that the key is to know what is suitable when.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
