Hurray for friends :T.
I should get a new battery, if it was the alternator then battery warning light would be on your dash telling you it can't recharge or is faulty. The weather has gone slightly colder but once you keep doing a deep recharge they can take on less and less charge.
Are you keeping the car outside or in the garage? If its in the garage ( or you can get a lead outside) once you get a new battery there is a gizmo you can get for about £18 that keeps the battery conditioned and topped up, ideal for cars that sit around along time. One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

thanks - it sits outside....and I will def be looking into a new battery at the very least after payday, although there are still other things that need to be fixed on it too, so it is a case of do the minimum I need each time until I decide when I really need to replace it...
Hope you all have a good day xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I'm with Admiral at the moment, and would urge massive caution to anyone else thinking of going with them, as they have some very strange ways of operating. Around the time I was renewing last year (I had already rung them and done the haggle - got around £75 off the price they first quoted) I had a claim change status to officially "No Fault" on my part - you may remember that I had two incidences of being struck by lorry drivers who were driving carelessly in a fairly short space of time - the first had already gone to no fault a while before, and making this change on the policy had dropped the price by £50 - so I immediately rang them to tell them about it (the claim was with a previous insurer) as it was still in time to get the change applied to the new policy. To my absolute astonishment I was informed that the claim going to no fault would INCREASE what I had to pay by £50! I complained, threatened to go elsewhere etc, but to no avail, they refused to change their mind. I was furious, but had very little time to make alternative arrangements and so had to go with it. I have no doubt whatsoever that they had a note on the file to "claw back" the money I had previously haggled off, but of course I have no way of proving this, although the reaction of the girl on the phone when I stated that I felt this was the case was quite telling!
Cookery book sounds fab - looking forward to hear what you all make from it! I'm currently enjoying Economy Gastronomy which I got for christmas - excellent book! Also considering buying The Takeaway Secret which I know a lot of people have said is brilliant.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

So........coming to an end of one of those days that we would rather not happen. for those that haven't seen on FB, today was the anniversary of losing my Dad.....and although I have been at work, I have allowed myself a "Dad Day".....where rather than surpress the crapness, and hoping it will go away, I have let it happen.....
It has been hard, it has indeed been as shiiiiiite as I expected it to be, but I am now at that stage where I can have a glass of wine and be happy to have known him...whereas this morning I was worried about drinking this evening for fear of becoming a miserable drunk (which I am not normally - I do happy drunk normally!).....
So, a horrible headache, many tears, and some fab "looking after" by my boys at work who kept me going with cakes and Costa Hot Chocolates......and another year has gone by.
DS has been packed off to Norway.....DD and I are making some strange concoction for dinner, and I am off to Leeds tomorrow with my fab football friends......life goes on.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
