Yes, feeling much "lighter" mac - it is amazing, the difference - I am looking forward to properly settling in here over the coming months but early indications are good onesSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Not sure what things you normally cook Hypno but quick and easy cooked from scratch stuff in this house include:
Fajita's
Noodles with Stir Fry (excellent for using stuff from the fridge up)
Pasta (with Leek/Mushroom/Bacon or Tomato/Onion/Basil - Tuna or olives to vary it or Pesto)
Also love my slow cooker as it is great to come home to dinner almost ready, just have to do potatoes generally as it is usually some sort of stew. Just a bit of chopping the night before and bung it all in & switch on before I leave in the morning.
Sure you don't need any more recipes but holler if you do

V we did Eurotunnel....so quick there is no time to sleep. I didn't have a nap before the journey - just consumed lots of coffee.....
Why did my mind cast you in a Top Gear Challenge with J. Clarkson? WHY??:D
What an awesome holiday, it's ticked all the right boxes. Congratulations on the staying up for 36 hours, I haven't done that for a very long time (imagine a Muttley laugh here).
Must crack on with breakfast, meeting at 10 and ebay to get listed as it's a free listing weekend.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Oh I love cooking, and have loads of lovely recipe books.....I just got out of the habit of it, with everything that has been going on.
Am looking forward to getting back into it - and thought the idea of trying something "new" each week would be a bit of fun and will stop the repetitive "oh its Wednesday it must be pizza night" stuff that we have slipped intoSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Sounds a good day, Hypno. I think I've become resigned to using my loft for some storage space, but I don't know quite what to use - not the soft plastic underbed type things, in case there are any stray mice left over .... and the hard plastic storage boxes I have are too big to get up throught the comparatively tiny little loft hatch I have here.... like you, my shopping list might be a bit glamourous ( = medium-sized plastic storage boxes !!!).2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I use plastic storage boxes too - was much easier when bringing things down from the old loft than collapsing cardboard boxes and disintigrating bin bags of old!
Run duly done - a cold and breezy 3 miles kickstarting my rather belated marathon training! I will head out again on Tuesday after work.
Going to have a coffee now, then dive into the shower before getting on with my long list of tasks for the day!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I noticed your savings target, HYpno. Are you saving something specific or just a 'buffer'? Is it 'extra' money
Maybe you have already mentioned it, sorry.LBM Feb 2010 £62,700 Total Debt Jan 11 [STRIKE]£49,403.84[/STRIKE] £47,530.32.

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Nothing specific - just want to have some money behind me....for security, for future uni costs etc, for changing the car.....or whatever really.
I just think that if I don't make a start straight away with it, I will regret it later. At the mo, I am used to putting money away for debt, so won't miss some of it if it goes into savings. I put it in my sig to give me the focus really, otherwise it would be in danger of getting overlooked in favour of the LK Bennett sale :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Happy pottering

Definitely hypno, as soon as you start spending that extra - it disappears. I started putting the same amount away as I was paying on debts - half was then proper savings and half to spend. Very nice when you have a decent amount and see something you want and can buy it straight awayNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130
