Oh! I painted the tree - I don't get a normal Christmas tree - for the last 5 years or so, I've had the top of an ash tree that needed cutting down. I use the top seven feet or so, and paint the actual tree gold! The old one had to go when I moved, it had dried out too much to be of any use, but there's a tree that needs to go at the new house too - its an ash lookalike, but it doesn't have those black buds. I'm painting the tree gold, but the green buds are still there - I'm posting lots of photos when I've finally done it, on my thread, as people have been requesting it :o it looks different, but I love it :j

Wow, can't wait to see it, sounds interesting. Damn my boring tree :D

  • As nobody else seems to be about at the moment, Hypno, - probably all out on Office Parties on "Black Friday" - or maybe more correctly "white Friday" can I wish you best wishes for everything going well in the run up to your move next Wednesday?

By the way have you checked whether there is a spare removal sleigh available? :D

Morning - was tired so grabbed an early night last night, but it still wasn't great sleep as my mind processed all the lists of things to be done in the next few days!

Today, XOH will be here again this morning to take the furniture that I am not taking with me....that way, he can store it until such time as he gets a bigger place. Things like the dishwasher, tumble drier etc will be going, so it will make the place feel very empty I am sure!

tonight I am out with the guys who I sit with at the football - should be a good laugh and gives me something to look forward to!

And, of course, I have a squillion boxes still to pack......it really is never ending!!

Hope you all have a good day xx

I have just sent a text to my Mum saying the card writing and wrapping is "never ending".(she's in the airport on their way to Spain - it's not our normal method of communication! :o) I don't envy you, but once you get cracking you'll be in a roll and in your new house before you know it!

Are you feeling reflective on the last weekend in this house? I ran a little video in my head of everything we'd done and been through while we lived there. It was nice to close the chapter and look forward to the new.
Hope today is productive, then you can be rewarded with a good night tonight  xx
