Wow, looks like loads of fun Csarina, watch that waistline!
I tend to not use my FP, but I wouldn't part with it for the world. As for my new Kenwood......it still in the box, I am deciding whether or not it's too big! I bought the Major, which is 6.5l capacity, but I was thinking I might get back into selling birthday cakes, so will need a biggie, but the other one is just a bit smaller but takes up less room in my already overcrowded kitchen. Decisions, decisions.
Space and price were the reasons I decided to go for this little one, I no longer do big cakes as I used to for ther garden opendays etc, this one will do me fine, I might even have to make some meringues just to try it out you understand, not to eat, just to look at.....if you believe that you are dafter than me!!!
OH has gone for a rest, I have just had to put the light on, its as dark as night wind and rain battering at the front window, but its cosy in here with the fire going.....am trying the kettle on the top see how long it takes to boil a kettle of water.......supper prepared, going to have a read at the instructions that came with the mixer, I am going to call her Doris!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

that's the little one?:eek::eek: Looks bloomin' massive by the pic, easily as big as mine from the 70's!!!
Nice and shiny though, I like the stainless steel but for me I'd hate all the finger marks on it

No fingers marks, a tiny drop of oil on a kitchen towel gets rid of finger marks, I have a stainless steel hob, a wee drop of veggie oil on kitchen roll keeps it looking good. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
congrats on the Engagement Bramble
 and tough luck about the job, but good luck with the search! x It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Afternoon all,
Remembering today all the young lives ended over the years by the abomination of war.
My eldest son and brother both have birthdays to-day....39 and 57...we will celebrate at weekend.
Really cold and windy here, with lots of rain thrown in for good measure....have heard that we are to have 140km gales tonight, hope that we don't lose any more trees..especially the ones hanging over the house, they really have to go.
Bacon, cabbage and potatoes to-day for dinner, with the rest of my 'delicious' chocolate cake for pudding. Planning on making a vat of soup to-morrow for lunch on Saturday, extra bodies arriving for OH's dinner. Would love a new mixer/processor Csarina, mine died recently....shouldn't be baking so am putting it off ( the mean genes taking over)...yours looks lovely.
Have given up and draped washing all over the house this morning, it will dry soon I hope.
Bramble....sorry about the job, congratulations on the engagement.
Get well soon to Essex girl
Hugs to all who are in need or want, including animals.

He's gone off to work now - picking him up at 8pm. I've done my shopping - I go round using the calculator on my phone - it stops a lot of impulse buying when you can see how much you're spending!

I've been excitedly researching it all afternoon and will get my hands on some soil(oh to find a homebase round here!) and try out a few different varieties in pots!

I was up early today to go for a review at hospital having broken a tendon in one of my fingers...gardening can be a hazard...all going as it should apparently so pleased I think.
Generally for me a day of reflection. We take life so so easily for granted. Dianne0
