Things that have made me more money than I expected:
Terry Pratchett Discworld Diary 1998 - sold for £42.00
Teletubbies Tubby Toast cutter - a freebie from a magazine 3/4 years ago - sold for £11.00
Battered and broken Dinky, Lesney/Matchbox cars, trucks etc - ridiculous
amounts including £50 for a Dinky Tank that needed a lot of work!
Johnny 7 Gun - very well played with toy, box badly sellotaped together and missing one of the missiles - was about to throw out but made over £200 instead
Have found lots of husband's old toys from the 1960s/1970s so hoping that they will make money!Mortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

I did look at the buyers previous purchases after I'd sent them and discovered that the buyer had a adult baby fetish thing going on (adult nappies, Adult rompers & baby rubber pants, giant dummies) each to thier own, I say but I did feel strange knowing where they had gone.
Interesting - I'd never thought of looking at a buyers past purchases!
Thanks - will use my head from now on!
I bought some old Sothebys catalogues x 2 in a charity shop - one is on pop memorabillia and one on clock memorabillia and they're getting quite a bit of interest on e-bay even as I type - lots of people 'watching' and hanging on to the last minute I guess - one day to go - fingers crossed.MFW #185

I can't believe it. I just went to a second hand cd and book sale, saw a double cd that i have at home but don't want to sell on ebay, priced at £2. i mulled it over and decided that i didn't want to risk having spending money on something i already own, and then not be able to shift it on ebay. BUT, now that i am back at work i checked past sales and it they have sold for £6+! fook it."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

You can also do a search for 'items by bidder' and include 'items where not the higest bidder' - this will show you everything that someone has bid on in the last while, not just that they have won and received feedback for... can make interesting reading!! :rotfl:Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Great thread
Things I have bought and sold on in the past are:
My recent bargain of a Jane Norman dress in excellent condition - bought for £5.99 and sold for £16.00.
A Cherished Teddies figurine that was in mint condition but didn't come with the box or papers - bought for £2.75 and sold for £10.50.
A Me To You large teddy that was in good condition, it didn't have any tags attached or anything - bought for 99p and sold for £8.00.
Another Me To You bear but a smaller one. This was still in the box and was a little get well bear. Someone had written on the cardboard. When I got it home I simply cut out a sticky label the same size as the cardboard part that had been written on and stuck it over there. It looked brand new!! - bought for 99p and sold for £4.00.
I was also watching a Carboot show today and the expert guy said that old board games (the ones from 15-20 years ago) that are in good condition tend to sell really well.
A friend of mine also goes around looking for knitting patterns in charity shops - they tend to sell for a few quid when you can get them for around 20p each.
