Currently happy with the service I get from my ISP Zen, but they are expensive at £17.99/month
I've been offered broadband for £4.99/month by BT
But I dont want to move if I'm going to get poor service.
Could anyone advise me what BT's service & customer support is like
Thanks

i use them at home and have not had any problems with their service. Make sure thats not the introductory price though - they normally do it at that price foor 3 months then put it up to around what your paying."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

I've found BT reliable.
The only problem is the 10GB/month limit if you are on option 1 - although I could choose another option. But I find it hard to monitor this even with various software...
They will send you an email reminder at 7GB and if you have gone over at the end of the month. If you go over the limit on 2 consecutives months, you have to pay 5 pounds for every 5GB (just for the second month).
Customer services tends to be good - I've had most things sorted via the phone and I think the other end were located in Britain. Perhaps a bit of a wait to get through but that's call centres I guess.0 -
Been with them for 5 years. They mess-up my profile on every renewal and I have to spend atleast 2-3 hours with support to get the speed backup up. Other than that no problems. I guess couple of hours a year on support is not too bad.0

Thats fair enough but ive never seen nor heard of that site and im guessing neither have a lot of people."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
yes as people have mentioned. you need to check that price is for the duration as it seems low for them..
also what your usage is and what allowances you get..
if the price turns out to be a 3 month deal then o2 could be one to look at if its avaiable to you
you can use quidco (£50) and a o2 sim number (either get a payg or a freinds number)for a £5 discount and also 3 months free..
works out about £4.80 after all per month on the all rounder which is a decent package..
(if your a light user the basic package 20gb?? is about half that price)0 -

Doesn't always work like that. Looking at the link posted by spud, Sky rate higher than BT. Having just got rid of Sky for their awful speed, customer service I plumped for BT. Sky always said that I was on the top speed for my line, what a load of guff, as soon as I went to BT the speed shot up! I guess sometimes its down to personal preference, graphs & charts dont always paint a true picture though!
As moonie also mentioned if you check with quidco you can make some good savings with the cashback too!Useful is beautiful0 -

bt broadband is very reliable but if you do have a problem (that is not on the call centre flow chart) it can be a nightmare to sort out when contacting their indian call centre
4.99 per month is almost certainly an introductory price so you will be locked into a contract and will pay more
that survey is rubbish as they don't appear to have taken an equal sample of each of the isps customers. the most popular isps will almost always be near the bottom in that survey
bt vision is ok too"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -

I suspect you were on Sky Connect which is dire and that site doesn't distinguish between it and their excellent LLU product sfaik.0
