hi to all new people and hi to all from previous years.

i'm sure the new people will find lots of info and helpful people and ideas on here, just ask and someone will answer.

    QUESTION

can you please keep an eye out in your £1 shops for mini xmas playing cards shaped like santa/snowmen and let me know. i bought a set in january this year and i cant find them, they are not in the box of elf stuff! i really want a pack of them but my £1 store hasnt got them in.

oooh... Amy they sound like a fab idea... must admit I haven't seen them before but would be interested if anyone has seen them!!

Christmas card swap list is looking a little healthy!!! 11 of us so far!

anyone else who wants to join, please PM me! x
  • they are advertised on poundland website, but mine hasnt got them in. think they were only 2-3inch in size. all i can think of is they ended up in with xmas cards n paper i bought in sale (trip to loft!) or they didnt get taken out of bag n went in the bin.
due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

  • Just spotted this thread.
I forgot all about our elf!
I couldn't even remember his name so I had to check on the first page, but its all coming back now!
My LO will be 2 1/2 and seems to have already developed creative play with his cars and castle(which is now his car park!) so this year should be fun...

lol Amy.. can just imagine you being bombarded with them!!! I will look for you.. if I don't manage to get there, then I will let you know...

P.S. ... do they have to be the shaped ones or are the tiny normal shaped cards acceptable? x
  • i want the mini shaped ones (sorry). hawkins bazaar do the normal mini rectangular cards.

  • I am starting to get very excited about doing this again this year. I sat last night and typed up a list of elf things to do. I have approx. 9 days with blank spaces so far which isn't too bad but I have a feeling when i rummage through the gift draws there will be a few "elf" type bits that I had forgotten about. I am also sure that a trip to a poundland will give me a few more cheap ideas. I need some inspiration for mischief - as that went down the best last year, i think sellotaping the other xmas characters to the huge windows in our lounge will get the best reaction this year :rotfl:

When I have a full list i will post it up, lots of them are the same as in the second post of this thread but there are a few new ideas.

I've been thinking of some new ideas too this year! last year we 'performed' the takeaway box idea... we moved the car and had mcdonalds papers over the dashboard ... the elves had even put my stereo on 'full blast'!! kids thought it was hilarious... not sure if the neighbours did at 8.55am!!

My son has started school this year and I have a lot of new recruits to the elf thing... from school and my little DD's playgroup mums... am hoping we can get up to some 'combined mischief' this year!! :D

I have compiled a list of past ideas and new ones for them all too.. so may be able to combine some of the newer ideas with you too little_lil! x

    P.S I love the sellotape idea!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi everyone!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has PM'd me to go on the Christmas Card list!

I now have 16 names on the list.

Just to emphasise, the idea of this list is that you work your way down and send each 'elf' a card.

If anyone isn't prepared to send this amount of cards out can you please PM me requesting that I remove you from the list.

    Thank you x :)
