I joined in with this year and our special elf Sally twinkletoes is back for year 2. We have already received a message from her of facebook, she has many friends including lots of you on here. If shes not your friend please feel free to add her , she has yellow hair and a red hat on facebook.
She sent us a message asking this year if she could bring santas pet dog this year as she is looking after him. I said this would not be a problem as my younest daughter age 3 loves animals and it would also mean less arguments on who looking after Sally!
They have made her a house already out of a big box and put it up in there bedroom. My daughter aged 5 was sure that Sally even visited last night as she came to see what her house looked like lol:rotfl:.
I cant wait until she gets here we have so much fun. We used many ideas from here last year so are looking for new excitin things for Sally to do.
Sally arrived with a passport last year which we are struggling to sort this year, Would it be possible to let me know where you get your passports from please.
Hope i can join in the fun with you all on here again this year.0 -

***passports*** if anyone needs a passport making, i am willing to make them like i did last year, as people had problems editing them from organised holiday site and same when i sent them mine to edit. but please let me know sooner rather than later as i dont want to be rushing around 2-3days b4 elves are due to arrive.
send me via PM a photo of your elf, your elfs name (1st and last, if no last name it will go as ....... Elf), its date of birth, male or female. if you have a prefered place of birth please state that as well or it will go as santas workshop north pole. and lastly your email address so i can send it back to you to print out.
please be aware i can only do these of evenings and during day when kids are at school. please send photos to amylackey@freeola.net
i cant do passports without all of this info.
*** polkadot has managed to edit the template for the passports and has said she is happy to help make them, so you can send her a PM with the info as well - she has asked for her email not to be put on here, so you will need to ask her for it in order to send the photo to her.....***
PLEASE can yo only PM one of us not both. thanks

Oh My Goodness, what a fantastic idea!!!!!
I have never even heard of this but I am fully on board for this year. I have 2 wee boys (7&4) and they will love this.
Just sent a text to DH telling him we are getting a Christmas Elf, due to arrive on 1st Dec, he rang me back in a panic thinking I was pregnant!!!!! I know I have put a bit of weight on but seriously.......lol.
Anyway, I think I will send the boys a letter from Santa telling them they are getting a Christmas Elf to keep them in check and that they have to think of a name for him (will have to be a boy as 'girls stink' except for mummies!)
I can't believe how excited I am about this, I am glad I came across this early so I can start getting things sorted for his arrival now! I am really big on establishing traditions that we do as a family at Christmas and I want to keep it special for as long as I can. This is a really good way of getting them into the Christmas spirit.
Right I'm off out this weekend to find me an Elf, althought I don't want to spend a fortune on one, this is something I plan on doing year to year so might try build a bear. Will shop around.
Any pointers on what you put in the journal? I seen someone mention a letter from Santa? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help xJust little old me!0 -

I was in Wilkies this morning-they were busy putting up the Christmas stuff and had little craft kits for £1 each.I got "make your own tree decoration","make a wreath",make a santa stop here door sign and a make a christmas paper chain and make our own christmas card.
Also packs of 30 christmas cards for 80p
Thanks for the heads up on this, I went in this morning and bought 'Make your own tree decoration 'Make your own wreath'Two2 Christmas canvas painting sets and some kind of scratch you own Christmas decorations thing!
Also bought paint your own baubles and paint your own tree decorations in Home Bargains.
So with the few things I bought in the January sales I think I have got all the craft things that our elves will bring.
Also got a lovely father Christmas face cushion in Matalan and a writing set for writing your list to FC!0
