Arrrggghh, I have somehow misplaced my elf from last year

I thought I knew where he was but I cannot find him anywhere and I cannot get another one the same....................:( 0 -
sorry!!

I am going to sound even dumber now... but, am I missing something in a previous post relating to this year?
that facebook group is mainly people? Last year a lot of us had set up actual facebook profiles for our elves?
search on facebook for "2011 magic elf christmas antics" is one for mainly elfs ( couple of humans have slipped through the net though )0 -
I have just gone through all the stuff I have bought from the elf to leave out and I think I am done (Apart from finding my elf!)
From Wilkinsons I have got;
Rub & Reveal Christmas characters, make felt stockings, make Christmas wreaths, make Christmas badges, make tree decorations & paint Christmas canvas's.
From Home Bargains I have got;
Paint your own baubles & paint your own tree decorations
From Ebay;Inflatable Christmas tree, colour christmas banner, colour christmas bags, make christmas garlands, car reindeer antlers, christmas mugs and an igloo for the elves to camp in outside!
I have also got festive stickers from poundland, letter to santa kit from Matalan.
I have Christmas bedding & bunting that I managed to get in the next sales for the girls bedrooms and I have bought a load of Christmas DVD's that I didn't already have!
Hope that has helped give some people some ideas! Still quite tempted to buy a Father Christmas toilet seat cover too as I think it will tickle them!!:rotfl:

Hi again everyone! The xmas elf ideas and prep has now officially started here!
Simple Ideas
Colouring Pages
A simple activity that is easily 'themed' is to print colouring pages. If you search Elf colouring pages you can find a wide range of pages to print
I'd love some inventive ideas of what ELF could do with these either once coloured or by way of delivery.
App/Game
Also found this app - http://www.punflay.com/jerricho-the-elf.html and have seen that there are other 'elf' apps although further research needed!!
Placemat
I am going to laminate an elf picture and make our elf Merry Jingle-Snow his own table mat with his name on, just like my sons shop bought one :-)
Elf Crafts
Lots of elf crafts here including games you can make xmas dominoes for example http://www.artistshelpingchildren.org/christmaselfelvescraftsideasforkids.html
I particularly like the elf door and elf skittles!
Elf educational resources
are on here http://www.northpole.com/academy/
Hopefully will be able to add to this list :-)0 -
Hello all, I'm new here, in fact never posted on any other forum anywhere in my life before!
I got my elf on amazon, but was in marks and Spencer this morning and they have 'elf dangly', he's quite long (and dangly hence the name!) and £8 if that helps anyone.
I'm very inspired and excited about doing the whole elf thing for the first time, but think only 2 of them (out of 5) will truly 'believe'. DS is 5 and actually thinks Santa rules the world and makes all the laws, so he will love this! DD is 12 but has special needs and definitely still believes - in fact, bit worried if she may get teased at school this year, but if I tell her the truth she will tell 5 year old DS which I really do not want!0 -

I found this thread on MSE today https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2167553 will be looking out for gifts whilst searching for elf presents."We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough
"There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women" - Madeleine Albright0 -

most if the elves stil have facebook pages, the group mentioned is a replacement of last years as the admin left and no-one could alter the group. its a similar to this thread, place for "adults" to share n swap ideas etc.
thats cool about xmas cards, last yr i received 2 from USA, 1 from AUS and loads from uk, the kids thought it greatdue to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

I LOVE this idea and am going to try and do it this christmas for my 18mth old daughter and 9yr old son. My son does not believe in Father Christmas anymore but would still like to do it just so he can enjoy it and feel the excitement and fun of christmas.
I am torn between a teddy that is very similar to a build a bear teddy, then I would just buy christmassy outfits for the teddy. But thinking maybe a bit babyish for my son.
Or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TY-BEANIE-BOPPER-JAZZY-JESSIE-/270833357951?pt=UK_Soft_Toys_Bears&hash=item3f0eed147f
get this doll for my daughter and a boy one for son and make some kind of attempt at making christmas clothes for them.
My children are mixed heritage, im white and hubby black caribbean so would like an elf with hint of colour lol x
