Well Galdor and Blinky have arrived with lego advent calendar - doorbell rung while family in house (we have done Xmas tree thing for a couple of years and DS expecting it so we changed). The excitement still after 5 years was lovely - 8 and 10 and still entranced.

First evening - made elf decorations of family for tree/bedroom doors.

Second evening - tree not arrived, where we get them from had pipe burst and shop, toilets etc closed so business closed . Elves hid as not christmassy enough looking for Xmas adventure. DD wanted a choc advent calendar this year - she thought she was missing out so got them two. DD and DS faces a picture this morning - elves have ate their advent calendar chocolates! DD had still not forgiven them before setting off for school! :o

Tree now arrived and waiting elf decoration before we do it tomorrow. Elves are leaving new choc advent calendars out to replace those they ate - good job they were only 44p in Lidl (and not bad ... :rotfl:).

Bless em kids have put elf decorations on tree - don't think DD wants her knickers on it again this year - so hoping this will work. This is our 5th year with elves but a real tonic this year with everything going on.

Apologises if already posted but saw kiddy elf costumes in Sainsbury's today 25% off. (£12.99 minus 25% = £8.75 ish - girl and boy costumes available). They are too small for mine unfortunately - but good for those with little ones and just starting out - i f not now then maybe in sale and put away for next year. Wish they just sold the hats with elf ears!

Duggie questoin re creating facebook page? I read that FB now deleting stand alone accounts and therefore better to add elf page to your own fb account. Now here's the embarrassing bit - have looked and cannot see where or how to do add page to my current account. Any hints and tips welcome.

Our 2 Elves Bertie and Gertie ( brother and sister) are causing havoc, Gertie was in the biscuit jar yesterdat surrounded by empty wrappers and crumbs and Bertie was in the fridge and had turned the milk purple ( dh not impressed at all with purple porrige!)
Today they are hanging from the Christmas tree with a little grow egg each for the kids. Yesterday the kids were shocked to discover that the elves had moved while they were at school and we were at work an had eaten some candy canes ( had Mum pop in and move them around!)

Our blinks appeared in the tent in the garden this morning with lego advent calendars. I didn't realise quite how excited the kids were going to be to see him again!!

This is our first year with the elf, not going as well as I had hoped tbh!

Dd1(10) just rolls her eyes lol but she's keeping up with it for her sisters!

Dd2 (5) is questioning everything a little too much

Dd3(almost 4) is petrified of it!

Woke up this morning and patch had opened up all my new decorations and hung them around the room and hid on my wall clock.

Dd1 again, rolled her eyes. Dd2 wanted me to explain how a little elf would have the strength to lift the baubles and hang them, never mind how he would have had the time. Dd3 screamed to get him down.

    Oh dear :-/

My boys (5ys) said that Pip comes alive when no one is looking. 'Just like the toys on Doc Mcstuffins'. Seems perfectly feesable to me.
He was playing Wii last night.
I set up a face book page for him and my family are his friends. no sign of it being closed as yet. If not you can set one up on your own page under a group perhaps?

I'd read the posts about facebook deleting accounts so I set my elf up on a page.
When you have your facebook on screen there are lists down the left hand side Favourites, Pages, Apps, Groups, etc. If you go to Pages there is an option to Create page.
It is pretty easy to set up (I'm not great at I.T so if I can, you can!)
My page is 'Buddy Snowbottom' if you want to see what I did? I'm new at the elf thing and the MSE forum thing but I'll help if I can with any questions
    :hello:
  • Oh and last night Buddy wrapped the kids shoes up in green and red tissue paper to make them look more 'Elf like'.
Didn't cost anything as we have coloured tissue paper in the house.

Our elf behaved last night and was found doing some colouring in and had a request for the children to draw him a picture after school :)
