12 days before (depends on whether or not close to a weekend) and down 12 days after. I HATE putting all those lights and trimmings on but love the final effect!

That's what we try and do as well. Must admit though, i'm sick of Christmas by the time it gets here thanks to TV and shops ramming it down our throats in early October.

 We don't need 3 months to buy some crackers and a bit of food thanks:mad:

We put ours up on the evening of 19th Dec as it's DS's birthday. While I clear away all the wrapping paper and party food DH puts the tree up. I then decorate it while he goes to the pub. I try not to let anything christmassy into the house before then because it takes away from his birthday but last year hubby started putting cards up as soon as we got them (1st December onwards~? AARGGH!)

  • First weekend in December for us and down just before going back to work, usually the 3rd or 4th ish.
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:
