When kids break up from school. Thats the first official day of our Christmas hol. The kids usually finish early and race home to prepare the decorations. ready for hubby to put the tree up (he has usually sorted lights out night before) He then puts lights on the tree, the kids solely decorate it and I have the finishing touch of putting the Angel on the top. It gets taken down on the sixth of Jan, soley by me (everyone else has lost interest) Its the same every year.0

Ours is full Christmas decorations and tree up on 1st Dec and down again on the 6th Jan, always have done. As a child and now carrying on tradition with my own family. Although 2 years ago when the Tusnami happened my brother was missing in Thailand and we took the tree down on Boxing Day. Was my worst Christmas ever:(:coffee:0

That's what i used to do when i was younger. Mum only let us put the decorations up if our rooms were tidy though!! Always thought it was rather mean of her, but we always tidied our rooms at lightning speeds!!0
