I bought 2 packets of the star mission rockets from jtf and they are utter c**p, set one off before and wish i'd spent the cash on a few 25 carat's from Lidl, just a warning to anyone.

deffo looking forward to some of the Epic stuff ^^

anyone got any views on the Ipanema Comet Battery from lidl?

Great selection! Glittering Gemstones is a Gem It's got 9 seperate fountain tubes all with good effects - get ready for the last two tubes... DEAFENING crackling effect

Jumping Jelly Beans is fabulous, beautiful pyro art with incredible yellow colours on a couple of tubes, you won't believe it's the same firework as shown on youtube, it's 10x better in the flesh.

Mammoth cone, incredible power, get ready for a close to 25ft high MONSTER fountain :T

Others I've not seen other than on Youtube and it's notoriously difficult to film fireworks - expect good things to happen

Quick update on Melbicks, as of 1PM today pretty sure they still had stock of the following :

Plotters Kegs are all gone, as are Hornets Nests, Hatching Sea Dragons, Spartacus Rockets, Sparkling Rainbow Mines & Mammoth Cones.

Barnett Hill had Mammoth Cones, Giant Ground Mines 1,2 & 3 & loads of Spartacus* rockets & Kimbolton Zink Rockets.

*On the Spartacus get the FIVE PACK with the thick sticks, the 12 pack Spartacus are only £7.20 for 12 which initially seems better value than the 5 pack for £4.50 but on testing last night they seemed completely different animals - 12 pack rocket/thin stick - OK, 5 pack rocket/thick stick - ohhh yeah...! lol

I got a Candy Cane Monday from Barnett Hill & a Siamese Fighting Fish Candy Cane looks a stunner I agree :cool: I did Melbicks today but they were out of Mammoth Cones, Barnett Hill still had them on Monday but Melbicks had greater stocks of other things, are you far from Melbicks?

Also DOUBLE check with Percy Throwups, (ask for the Manager) I was told by Barnett Hill or Melbicks, one or the other, that there was another branch in Shrewsbury, (and Wolverhampton) they are all under the same parent company and all stocked fireworks so I thought??

I live TF7 which is about a 35ish minute drive? Depending on if the satnav plays ball Stop tempting me!!

Barnett Hill still had mammoth cones but were out of big barrages.. which is what I desperately wanted! Darn them! Also no giant catherine wheels which look like loads of fun! The Shrewsbury one is the one I called, I'll ring them again tomorrow just incase this is another case of someone not knowing what they're talking about. The stand at Barnett was just a little thing at the end of the tills so I can imagine people not knowing but seriously, if they do have them then I could have saved 60 miles today!
