You cant advertise at all here. The rules are below

We get a few peeps who try it on and bump up relevant threads for the intention of promoting there site. I am not saying you doing this you seem to give us good info but you can see why the rules are there

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=305655

    Theres on post on advertising
  • BUT there is nothing stopping me from registering another "bogus" account and saying, I got my fireworks from fireworkcrazy they were great!

So instead of lying and going the bogus route, the companies on here that provide good info are penalised.

Sorry, but it doesn't make sense to me

Any way this is distracting from the main point of this thread.
    regards

I can see where you going but people can and do get caught out just search the poster for number of posts and see they seem to promote abc.com and they either get posts removed or banned.

Theres plenty of people who are suspicious of new posters. Like the following

Hi, I came across the great site abc.com seems to sell cheap fireworks etc

If the poster persists they sometimes get reported to there host and or the domain name is then blocked on here, it does happen
  • I understand poppycat. But as you can see, im here to promote the safe use of fireworks and to make sure people know the latest legislation and know that not all deals are as good as they seem.

If ANYONE has any firework related questions, please ask. I will do my best to answer.
    regards

  • Fireworks Crazy your absolutely right about not banning fireworks.

BorisTheSpider i think it would be worth a couple of hundred miles drive to Batley especialy as there so cheap. I will be going this Saturday from Preston so we have to go a fair way to.

And like everybody says! Remember the fireworks code!
  • The Firework Safety Code

Plus for safety's sake I thought I'd include the firework safety code to make sure you're buying the right fireworks and stay safe.
    • Only buy fireworks that conform to British Safety Standards which are ones marked BS 7114 on the box.
    • Don't drink alcohol if setting off fireworks.
    • Keep fireworks in a closed box.
    • Follow the instructions on each firework.
    • Light at arm's length, using a taper.
    • Stand well back.
    • Never go near a firework that has been lit. Even if it hasn't gone off, it could still explode.
    • Never put fireworks in your pocket or throw them.
    • Always supervise children around fireworks.
    • Light sparklers one at a time and wear gloves.
    • Never give sparklers to a child under five.
    • Keep pets indoors.
    and don't forget...
    • It is an offence to let fireworks off between 11pm and 7am, except on Bonfire Night (midnight), Diwali, New Year, and Chinese New Year (1am).
    • It is against the law to carry fireworks in public if you're under 18.
    • It is against the law to throw or set off fireworks in the street.
    • Fireworks must not be sold to anyone who is under 18.

Whilst the Firework Safety Code advises you to keep your pets indoors, please have consideration for your neighbours pets too.
It doesn't take a lot of effort to inform neighbours of your event, and they will be ever so thankful for your consideration:A
