We had a haloween/firework party yesterday and we used the fireworks from Lidl the cakes they sell Cosmos,Rainbow Storm and Haylys Comet were very good.I've seen 100's of fireworks over the years ,and they were better than some other makes I've seen that cost £25.
The small selection box contains 18 fireworks and costs around £5.I would buy the cakes again, but not the selection box.0 -

I brought fireworks from Lidl (selection box and large rockets) and they were great i was really surprised usually buy from the "supermarkets" and they are slow and a bit boring, but i was very impressed with the quality of these.0

Did anybody else have any trouble with Lidl fireworks?
I bought the black nebula box and had issues with 3 of the fireworks.
The 'andromeda' multi shot exploded each burst only a foot off the ground, causing ricochets and a few of them hit us. The catherine wheel just exploded in one massive bang, blinding us all for a while and absolutely terrifying the kids. Finally, one of the rockets went up, and then almost hit the ground again before exploding.
At work today, a colleague said they also had problems with a few, and one of their rockets detached from the stick and fired diectly into the crowd!
I will NOT be buying that brand again, and both they and Lidl are recieving a very strongly worded letter!0 -

Nope, mine were fine? (Very exciting in fact!) Although we didn't used the catherine wheel (no where to stick it...)0 -

Wow, that sounds serious and you were lucky not to be injured. I'd be contacting Tarading Standards / Health and Safety, though, rather than Lidl.
