  • For the past few years I have bought fireworks from Asda. I hope that this year they will add a few more fireworks to their restricted collection...
  • Hi, been a while since i last posted here.

Last year i got 6 big rockets called Liquid Gold and they were night star, i got the box online for £39.99, i cant seem to find them anywhere now and i dont remember the name of the site i bought them from last year.

They were great though because they were double break and i found a video of one on youtube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmdC7FkyShw

only place i can see them is the actual night star site 1215706495_123_main.jpg but they are RRP £89.99 and only wholesale.

anyway they were great because i didnt expect the double breaks until i actually used them.. does anybody know of any similar rockets like that for the same price? i cant seem to find any even in the £60 range with 4 in a box.

Anyone saw any fireworks in their Asda yet, visited two of mine and both have non on display or no leaflets.

Tesco have a sign up advertising fireworks from the 15th
  • Last year I think Asda began selling fireworks on the 17/18 Oct.

So they're probably going to do the same this year.

i bought New Orleans from aldi last year! quite an impressive pack, only 1 small rocket that didn't set off! but apart from that i couldn't fault the pack, but i am might be brave this time and use asda fireworks since there closer to home.

Just wondered if anyone can remember the fireworks at Sainsbury last year. I know they were Standard and have just got a newsletter from Netto showing theirs are going on sale Thursday. They are BOGOF but seem to be far more expensive than last year. Just wondered if anyone knew what else was on offer. Thanks BTW the ad for Lidl fireworks are on the Lidl site but don't seem to be as good a selection as previous years.

Sainsburys selection this year doesn't seem too good in my oppinion.

Morrisons are stocking TNT this year, and their selection seems OK. They have a large box for £40 with 4 different freebies inc cakes and rockets, but I wouldnt know if these are any good.

Lidl have changed brands this year, and are not as good as other years, and Netto, well their stuff doesnt look much better either! We just have to wait for Aldi, Tesco and Asda to show theirs, so we can see whats the best.

I would reccomend going for some of Aldi's stuff though, as they seem to be quite good, thats if they have them this year!

well i went into my asda today, to find the tnt booth been set up, but no leaflet as yet! they seem to have some ok offer's on there! but in my opinion i have 2 choices. either wait for aldis or go to latifs and get the streetwise selection box for £40....

  • Spent ages a few years ago looking for the best value fireworks, after seeing this site I always used the Lidl range (cosmic). Great value for money, I could run a 10min automated show for 30 pound. Shame they are not available now. Maybe it would be a good idea if we got together, bought a cake each <10 pound and posted the results for all to share....
