I unerstund the idea, but when you think about it, why should consumers PAY to do videos that are basically promoting a shops products?
supermarkets must be laffing all the way to the bank if they know people are buying fireworks to test fire and then recommend on the internet.
I'd say buy from a proper firework shop who has done their own test and has their own videos already.0 -
Sainsburys selection this year doesn't seem too good in my oppinion.
Morrisons are stocking TNT this year, and their selection seems OK. They have a large box for £40 with 4 different freebies inc cakes and rockets, but I wouldnt know if these are any good.
Lidl have changed brands this year, and are not as good as other years, and Netto, well their stuff doesnt look much better either! We just have to wait for Aldi, Tesco and Asda to show theirs, so we can see whats the best.
I would reccomend going for some of Aldi's stuff though, as they seem to be quite good, thats if they have them this year!
Lidl have changed to TNT because they thought Cosmic Fireworks had gone out of business(which isn't the case as the directors had bought the assets of Cosmic Group and are STILL trading as Cosmic Fireworks UK Limited in Burton Upon Trent Staffordshire).0 -
Thanks for the info!
Im waiting for Aldi's selection too, hopefully should be on their website tomorrow night (sundays special buys)
Hmm, I will be going round a few shops including Asda & B&M to see what they have over the weekend. If I can get any leaflets I will post them here0 -
Also Morrisons have changed to TNT because they also think Cosmic has gone bust(but it hasn't!)0

what does "gone bust" mean in business terms?
Cosmic was a Limited Company , which was declared bankrupt earlier this year. A new Limited company was formed, with a very slightly different name, Cosmic Firewokrs UK Ltd , something like that.
Sometimes businesses do go bankrupt and live on with a different name or literally "start up" again with a slightly different name.
To the consumer it's no issue, unless they owed you money (like a refund) then they wouldn't need to pay it because the company no longer exists.0 -
