well im not sure because iv never got fireworks from here! this will be my first time, but i was thinking on getting the STREETWISE SELECTION BOX.

so yeah can any one advice on this selection boxes?

I'm also interested in the Streetwise selection box. It looks like a lot of fireworks for £40!

Has anyone ever used Latifs before? The website doesn't look great. Does anyone know if they have any shops?

Has anyone ever had Dancing Red Devil Fireworks? Are they any good?

If anyone could recommend any good shops in Cheshire (pref near Northwich) I'd be grateful! I'm not looking to spend a fortune (prob about £50).

    Cheers
  • Morning. Just wondered if there was anyone or anywhere that does review type things for the fireworks out this year. Have just been on to Sainsbury's to see if they are doing the same selection as last year but they are now different or at least the names are. I have no clue as to which are good or bad, fizzle and pop or light up the sky. I will be watching on here for any info and wish to thank those who do offer this. I for one appreciate it.
  • The Dancing Red Devil stuff I have had has not been bad at all - especially not for the money latifs charge for it....

Looking at the prices elsewhere online Latifs work out cheap - Prince selection box online - £21.00 I saw the other day, last year Latifs had them at £28.00 - BOGOF!

I wouldn't go with the Street Wise box - I saw it set off at a party last year, it wasn't that good, but then again it is only £40 I guess!

I like to buy the Prince Selection pack or similar (contains a couple of fountains and small roman candles etc.) then some big cakes and some big fountains to top up. Only my personal choice though - I prefer aerial fireworks.

    Hope this helps,
    Dave

    QUICK! Look

Latifs website...... Selection Boxes - Party Time!

Do you think they will HAVE to fulfill any orders that order this at £7.00 which is obviously wrong price?

DRDFireworks dot com (cant post links) is selling it for £360 :) lol

  • Is Latifs any good and are they mail order. They seem to have some decent stuff but I'm not a firework expert. Any help appreciated

They seem to be mail order with only £9.95 p&p which is amazingly good.

I have bought in store before and the stuff has been OK.

Have placed an order, will let you know how it goes :)

Good luck! The DRD website says it should be £600! http://www.dancingreddevilfireworks.com/catalogue/selection-boxes/party-time.html
  • Thats what I thought, I guess the order will get cancelled, but I thought I'd add one amongst other stuff I was going to order anyway and see what happens.

I go in store there to buy each year anyway, so I placed online save me the hassle - since its only £9.95 p&p it says....

We'll see, will let you all know :)

There are certain rules about once the money has been taken for the order they have to honour it but not entirely certain of what they entail. Having said that having seen the website they take PaypaL and that is instant money tranfer and they get the money straight away so not sure of the specifics. Well done though if it is.

It's different with the internet. Most websites have T&Cs that state that they can cancel the order at any time.

The Latifs website seems incomplete and the terms page isn't working. Legally there's a chance that they'll have to fulfill the order, I can't see them doing it though.
