Csarina - they're gorgeous.
Rant alert.....
Have spent all weekend at MILs house clearing it so that when / if she comes home from the hospice she can live downstairs (mobility is a problem). Spent all of Saturday scrubbing the kitchen to make it habitable (despite the fact she has a cleaner!). The started on spare room 1 to make space for the things coming upstairs. Then it was the turn of the bathroom - YUK and then the downstairs toilet. She has so much stuff I would have just liked to have opened a cupboard and seen NOTHING. Bless, she is a lovely lady, but why have 3 wardrobes of clothes when you wear your old ones, why have countless cupboards full of crockery to entertain people when you never have anyone round. Then there are all the projects / hobbies that she's into. Phew. Well surfice to say that I am cleaned and tidied out right now, and am SOOOOO tired I'm off to bed. Thank goodness my parents had to do the same for their parents within the last 2 years and have vowed to empty their loft by the time they're 70.
Give me strength for December when we start all over again. xx
Rant over.
Was great at OSing this weekend as were eating out of MILs freezer! All the things that would take preparation instead of just putting in the oven / microwave. I'll leave the ready meals to her when she's back. Does mean I start on the wrong foot in my house tomorrow - but we'll get there.
xxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

Had a nice chilled Sunday, did some clearing in the garden sweeping leaves and DH did the gutters, filled the green bin and more.Went and did a food shop,-I'm going on my own next time, spent twice as much with Dh popping all kinds of carp in the trolley!
I got an overlocker on Eb*y this afternoon,so I'm pleased about that-hopefully I'll get a better finish when I make clothes. Its an early C'mas pressie from DH

Spooky, fajitas is what I have decided on! But I'm having leftover tomatoes/quorn mince/onions/chilli/kidney beans mix in mine. With big dollop of sour cream

Hello again
I've had a look at that can-can wool suzybloo (sp?) mentioned - what wonderful stuff! Very tempted to get some & borrow some needles to have a go for Christmas pressies for girlfirends; it would definitely keep things under budget if I could do a few.
Baby took an hour to settle tonight, so no card-making, washing up & ironing still lurking!:D
Welcome to the newbies/returners; even though I don't get much time here I love how friendly, helpful & kind everyone is - like having friends at your fingertips! :j
Off for a bath & try to make a few cards. Enjoy the rest of your evening & hope you're all toasty-warm tonight!
