Afternoon all
Cold & sunny here today, so washing is on the line, we've been to the fish shop to buy fish food, hubby's cleaned the filters & the tank looks lovely & sparkly now.
Gammon egg & chips for dinner today for hubby, gammon & mash with parsley sauce & broccoli for me. I have some shin of beef defrosting & that will go in the slowcooker tomorrow morning. I need to make a banana loaf & some Twinks for next week & I have 3 more tops ready to cut out & still more bunting. I also need, yes NEED, some Can Can wool now I've seen it!
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Afternoon all
Went to bonfire and fireworks yesterday at Chatsworth.....we were there about 15 mins, had a hot dog then DS said he was too cold and it was too busy and could we go home. Never saw a firework and it cost 26 quid for the tickets:cool:. I dont know why I bother but I like to keep trying to do things I enjoyed as a kid but DS cant cope with it all. I feel like we never get to celebrate anything in normal ways:o
Brisket in SC for tea with baked onions, roasties, yorkshires.
Still working through all the last minute jobs for wedding and sorting Xmas.
OH has decluttered the shed at last and got rid of the cyber cafe he seemed to be setting up in there as people keep giving him old computers which he hoards;)
RedRuby made me cry about your old dad seeing his dog. Glad he is better physically. Sending you lots of hugs, must be so hard on the heart seeing him change from your dad into someone you dont know. I hope they get some help and support sorted before he goes home.
Halight nice to hear from you, was wondering randomly about you the other day and how you were getting on with the head etc.
Marie sorry to hear about your friend, thats dreadful.

[STRIKE]
- tidy spare room
- general quick tidy flat
- hoover throughout
- wipe kitchen over
- take recycling to tip
- take some things back to shops
- do small food shop[/STRIKE]
- research and book some stuff for my trip to Montreal (less than 3 weeks to go)
- do my uni work - I've scheduled this for during the Grand Prix as I can watch and work at same time.
Oooh I feel like I've accomplished loads todaySo pleased I've sorted my spare room, it's been a dumping ground for weeks! I can finally see the floor now :rotfl:.
Whilst in Tesco I bumped into a guy who I used to work with. I had a huge crush on him when I was about 22, we got together once or twice but nothing serious. We had a quick chat and catch up, but I spent the whole time thinking 'why the heck did I ever fancy you?'!! :rotfl:He has not aged well.
I'm gonna make some lunch, watch start of F1 and then do some uni work.
halight - nice to see you back!

Coco has chewed the cable for the boys' X Box controller
while they were playing it! Anyone know it it can be fixed, its about five inches from the fitting that connects it to the XBox, I was thinking it could be rewired like an electircal appliance, can they do that with data cables?

Your best bet is to re-post this on the techie board, someone there will know!

Adelight, Bargain Bird and Hardup Hester, the can-can wool you mentioned after seeing my post is fantastic! It takes 3-4 hours to knit a scarf and it only has 7 stitches on it, you do get quicker as time goes on. I have been asked to do some for a craft fair, and the company I work for has said they could take them into stock if I want, but not sure if that would take away the fun of doing them!!! Mind you doing one every night or couple of nights knowing they are going to sell would be a nice little earner between now and christmas!!! Guess what every female in the family are getting for christmas along with a special deals bottle of wine from M and S that cost £2!!!
Hope you have fun doing them - and possibly see if there are any boutiques that would sell them in your area if you need to increase your income a little - I see them on ebay at £12.50 plus postage.Every days a School day!0 -
I've been having a hunt on the techie board too Flutterby, I think its beyond redemption! OH is going into Gamestation to ask as he's quite near one ATM.
