Morning all,
Bright beautiful day here :T I have my bedding in the wm, will get that on the line, and then get dd's in the machine, both should dry today.
I have the biggest chicken ever to cook later, my mum bought it for me a few weeks back, I got it out of the freezer yesterday, should do us a load of meals, will have some of that later with roasties, roast squash, and sprouts.
Popped into see dad yesterday physically he is getting much better, he is walking really well, and is up and down out of the chair, but he is still really confused, the nurses caught him in the carpark during the night, luckily the alarm went off, I had the dogs in the car, so he walked out with me to see them, he was so pleased to see his dog, bought a tear to my eye.
We then took both dogs for a really long walk through the woods, it was beautiful with all the leaves changing colour and dropping, mums dog is not used to a long walk, and was soooo hot, she kept rolling in huge muddy puddles to cool off, both dogs were then shattered, I have had a word with OH and we agreed that if needs be, we will take on mum and dads dog, if they find they can't cope.
Plans today, include a tidy through, and a roast dinner and another long walk, its the village fireworks tonight so dogs will be terrified, a long walk will help to wear them out.
Hugs to Csarina and OH xx0 -

Anyway, csarina those pressies are FAB- did you embroider the card yourself, too?
Thanks for the comment, I have a machine that does embroidery, I am hanging onto it for dear life, it was very expensive and now I have decided to stop doing so much quilting I should really sell it, but I know I will not get a lot for it even though it has been upgraded to match the new machine they released last year.
With Oh as he is just now I am not getting much time to sew and to be honest I am just about quilted out. Have several UFO's to finish, but will continue to make things like potholders for presents, and cards, but thats going to be about it.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Morning all! Spending the day at home today, going to try and sort out the disaster that is my store cupboard! We got a large chicken out the freezer last night, it's hopefully going to last us at least 3 meals and then soup too.
I'd like to cook a crumble today and some cookies.
I'd also like to make some egg mayo for sarnies tomorrow but have no idea what to do! so going to investigate.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Hello Everyone!
Not been on lately...Off out to lunch in a minute-not very OS but not too expensive. A workmate of DH runs a pub with her DH and we are going out with two other friends to have lunch there as it is apparently delish. And we have had root veg stew with dumplings, baked beans and butter beans two days running so that was mse. Yum!
Nice to have a break from decorating but the clock is ticking on that as DD is coming home for Christmas.....My knees don't alf feel it being up a ladder with a roller!.The singing plasterer is coming tomorrow to skim DS's bedroom so he(DS not the plasterer) will be on the put u up bed in the sitting room while it dries. Then he will decorate hall and stairs...can't have DH leaning over the gap on a ladder as not getting any younger.
Anyway ramble over and have a nice day everyone.
Take care
