I have had a look at the can can wool now, and think I'll give it a try too, scarves are about the limit of my abilities, and they would make lovely Christmas pressies for my sisters and SILs too. Thanks very much. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

while they were playing it! Anyone know it it can be fixed, its about five inches from the fitting that connects it to the XBox, I was thinking it could be rewired like an electircal appliance, can they do that with data cables?
Hi
Im not sure, as a data cable has to transport info data and not just current.
You can try asking on the tech bord they should know.
If they dont then it wont do any harm to give it a go joining them up with a bit of tape:)
I do think you may end up buying a new one.
cheak out ebay for good prices you may be able to pick a second hand one up
best of luck:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -

and if you hang onto it until next Halloween, the local children will probably be breaking sprint records up your road when you answer the door. I am so looking forward to your handfasting photos. Make sure we get an action broomstick one please!0 -
Evening All
Csarina, I love your gift, that would go so well in my kitchen what with the hens in the garden and all! Talking of hens, the ex-batts have settled in well and are now fully free range. Their pen was getting really muddy with the bad weather so I let them out on Friday and so far they have all managed to get back to bed, just one that seems to be unable to jump from the ramp into the house, the darkness must make it just go to sleep! It blocks the pop hole so any stragglers can't get in, I have to give it a shove!
Freezing here, the coal fire has been lit since 8 this morning to keep the chill off. I went to Braehead (shopping centre) today and got one or two christmas pressies and also a couple of thin jumpers for me. I also got DD an all in one pj thing for christmas and a pair of pjs for a friend for £2.! I got there early as I hate any kind of shopping but as it was empty it wasn't too bad. Got a free bag of choccies from Thorntons with a voucher from the paper and am disgusted to say that I have eaten them!
Went to the big Sainsbugs to get some veg, have to admit that in my fed up mood last week I don't think I ate a single vegetable so I have made up for it today and will try harder this week coming.
Hope you have all had a good weekend, enjoy your week. Take care XX0 -

Hi everybody, I'm starting out OS, hoping to join in to keep me motivated. I'm Anna, live in Scotland with my husband and two small kids
Today we went out for lunch (not very OS at all, forgive me!), and picked up a Christmas present or two. We'd printed off the Debenhams free £5 vouchers so got a couple of stocking fillers for the kids for free.
Had got an amazing reduction on a duck crown in Mr Ts the other day - it was roasted for dinner tonight and served with roast tats and veg. Made far too much red wine gravy, can I freeze it for another day? Am planning on stripping the rest of the meat and making a duck/special fried rice for lunch tomorrow, yum yum.
My son and I have made a big batch of grapefruit marmalade this evening - am making trios of preserves (plum jam, raspberry jam and grapefruit marmalade) for some family gifts for Christmas so got those jars done, plus my Granny LOVES grapefruit marmalade (not to my taste, it has to be said, so tangy and tart) so she's got a couple of extra big jars as part of Christmas gift too.
Hoping to get to know you all a little better2021 wins: eco-friendly bedding bundle0 -

Hi and welcome to the board.
You will fit in just fine here. Feel free to join in all banter and ask for any advice.
As for the gravy it really depends on what is in it. If there is a lot of red wine in it then it will not freeze well. IF there is not too much then it should be fine. If you dont wont to chance it then put it in the frige over night untill tomorrow and put some of it in the pan to add extra zest to tomorrows night duck dish.
Well done on the jams and that they will make great gifts.

Welcome Want2Bmoneysavvy - I wish I could make jams/preserves!
I'm undecided what to make for dinner. I'm not overly hungry so think I'll wait and see what takes my fancy. I'm knackered, keep yawning so think I'll be having an early night.
