OH!! Have you got your passport ? ?
  • I would NOT use a credit card on a proxy site.
You are offering your credit card details to someone who should not be able to see it.
  • Thanks for all replies and I'm still stuck. Am I able to change my proxy settings on my laptop? is there any advice on how to do this?
I have called the dsl company and they are sending out an engineer to see if the cables are wrong. But I told them if the cables are wrong then I wouldn't be able to connect to any websites, but they insisted that the cables must be wrongly connected. They said if I am wrong and the cables are wrongly connected, then they will charge me 40 euros plus tax and 10 euros per evry ten minutes that he works on the cables!!
I then said that the cables must be rightly connected as I can connect to the internet and all websites except the BA one. Then the engineer said ok, if the cables are right then I won't charge you a cent.

ok now I don't have extra money to pay this engineer, so i am thinking of whether I can change the proxy settings to unlock the website myself?

Sorry for this lengthy thread, but I would appreciate any suggestions.:o
  • can you not just ring ba and book a flight over the phone?
  • Ive tried from this country and the the phone line is quite expensive from outside the UK and they put me on hold through their music, and I don't want to feel like a burden on my friends, they have already done enough for me, but thanks for the suggestion.:o
  • it depends what your priorities are (actually getting a flight home, or fixing this issue)

but in order to get home, i'd either ring ba (you can always download skype to your computer and then phone the number from there - will be much cheaper)

or ask a very very trusted friend / relative to book my flights for you(even if it meant giving them your card details to book on your behalf)

i certainly wouldn't enter them through a proxy though

Does the airport have a a BA desk? could you visit and book direct there?

Do you have to fly BA?

Appologies if this is not the case, but from reading the thread it seems you are more bothered about connecting to the ba website than you are about actually getting a flight.

I have no affiliation with bleeping i just recommend them to anyone having problems.
  • Thanks for the reply and I am worried about getting home and I am equally frustrated about the website not opening. If it opened then everything would be simple I have tried other airlines and they are way too expensive, and I cannot afford it. I wouldn't be asking for help if I didn't need it, but I understand what you are saying and i apologise if this is how it has come accross. but I would just like to open the site, book my tickets and go home.:o
