Is it safe to sell broken laptop on Ebay
Comments
-
That's the way to find out if it's the screen itself is broken.
It is also useful input for potential buyers on ebay.
As others have said, you should put the disk caddy/bracket/mountings back even if you remove the HD.
Or if there's a problem with the video chip/board.
A broken/damaged video card can give the same result as a broken screen....but you still won't know what the problem is.

It's just your windoze install that's faulty.A software issue. When are you selling the broken laptop?
If you feel it's safer to destroy the hdd rather than use dban use a bigger hammer , rather than a smaller one.0 -
As explained numerous times, the disk is probably fine, the machine is probably fine, but without any updates or replies to questions, it's all guesswork. If it's fine, taking a hammer to it or using dban is going to severally reduce the amount you get for it, if you do attempt to sell it.!!
