well done, the staff are catching on:D
Does anyone know how long HO take to send out a gift card?
I phoned them on the 18th and nothing yet0 -
Morning folks,
I work in my local store on the CSD, the policy regarding over pricing -
We will refund you the difference if you are over charged for an item and give you £2 on a girftcard per receipt. If you have two over charges in one receipt you will only get one £2 card as its both on the same receipt.
If you had 6 pkts of peas on seperate receipts and was over charged then you would get 6 refunds of difference and 6 £2 giftcards. (You may have to point out you know the policy!)
Another policy i think is a great one! 200% guarantee!!:T
You buy (for example) a joint of meat for £20, you take it home, cook it, eat 75%, then find you didnt 'like it' you take it back, get your 200% guarantee either, refund and replace or double refund! Must be an asda brand though!!!
Any other problems then let me know. There is a new policy coming out regarding george clothing. will update when i have been brieffed about it.

#####I was overcharged recently at the Grimsby store. Realised just before I went out of the shop and as my wife knows the policy, she went to CS. They told her that if we'd gone out of the shop, we would have got the Gift Card, but as we hadn't left the store then we didn't get it.####
- I was overcharged on an item that was reduced on a 'special deal' promotion. I too was given full discount, kept the product and given a £2 Gift Card at customer service desk! This was at the new store at Rushden.-keep smiling,

just found out that the £2 gift card that asda give you for over/undercharging, does not entitle you to the christmas bonus, but just ask customer service to transfer the gift card monies onto the savings card and it can contribute to the totals needed to recieve the bonus on (i think) 20 november
hope this is of interested
and also i carry a copy of asda t&c in my car just incase cs want to argue about their t&c's (i know that may sound strange! but it's for their cs benefit, not mine!)It's nice to be important but it's important to be nice!

I was overcharged at Asda this weekend and went to CS to sort it out. I was given my money back which was only 48p.
I wouldn't usually pursue such a small amount but over the past 10 months I have cause to complain another 4 times and each time I haven't been satisfied by the answer.
In January this year I purchased a loaf of weightwatchers bread. It was unopened and mouldy, the tag on the neck of the bag indicated it was approx two weeks out of date. I returned it to the shop only to be questioned twice as to whether or not I had frozen the bread. I had taken my receipt for proof of date of purchase and they asked me again. It was the last loaf on the shelf and right at the back. I received some vouchers from the manufacturer apologising for the mouldy bread. Now I think Asda were to blame for leaving something on their shelves for so long.
Later on during the year (around July/August time) I bought a bouquet of sunflowers - some were nearly open, some actually opened and some died. This also happened with a bunch of gladioli about two weeks later so I emailed a letter of complaint and received no reply. Then I wrote a letter of complaint and still have received no reply.
During September this year I was wearing a new pair of khaki combat trousers that I had bought earlier that day. I done my weekly shop at Asda and as I was putting the items in the trolley I looked down and there was some oil from the trolley on my trousers. I told the assistant but stupidly said I would try and get the oil out when I got home. When I did get home there was a substantial amount of oil on my trousers so I called CS who promised to call back, but didn't. I called again two days later and the unhelpful lady said that because I didn't go straight to CS when I was in the shop they couldn't be held responsible but did say they would pay for dry cleaning of the trousers! I was totally fuming and so annoyed with their flippant attitude the trousers went in the bin!!!
And now I find out that their CS policy is to give you £2 gift card for an overcharge. Guess who didn't get one!!!
Should I officially complain in writing? Or am I being a bit too worked up about them?
Oh, by the way the store in question here is Boldon Asda Superstore, Tyne and Wear.
Cheers everyone, glad I got that off my chest!!!DEBT FREE SINCE SEPTEMBER 2015 :beer::beer:0 -
hi dirtyepic , i use the same asda as you and can agree they are awful they never give you the £2 when they overcharge you and make you feel guilty for going to cs and stopping them having a good gossip instead of serving people0

Wow, I didn't know about this policy. I always check my prices and have never been overcharged. Been undercharged plenty though.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

I was overcharged a couple of weeks ago, but didn't realise until I got home. I had been charged for 3 fridge packs of Coke instead of 2. I called the store and was told next time I'm in the shop take the receipt to the CS desk and give them the name of the person that I had spoken to. When I went back the next week, I was refunded and given a £2 gift card no problem, I didn't have to even ask :T:beer:Thank you to all posters:beer:

Like i said if i get ripped off or have bad customer service i will try and get as much money as i can out of the company.
But going to buy somthing knowing that you will be over charged just to gain 66p just seems pointless. Maybe i could see the point if it was £20 - £30 or more hell i would prob be doing it but for 66p seems a waste of time to me
i agree with your viewIt's nice to be important but it's important to be nice!
