Entirely contradictory post, if you don't mind me pointing out.

Yeah maybe ok im not perfect i will do anything to get a bargin and if i have bad customer service i want compo for it and im quite good at getting it. but to go and buy a product knowing you will be overchanged just to get .66p back then i Find that pointless.

Personally, I would agree (although, if you had had the CS experiences I have had here recently, you would probably agree that this is a company that wants sorting out!), but that wasn't my point. You seemed to be having a go at people for ripping companies off for 66p but then went on to imply it was fine for £20-£30, but maybe it was ambiguously worded. It seems you were more highlighting the futility of getting a 66p refund. Fair enough.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!
  • Sorry my fault i should of worded it better.

Like i said if i get ripped off or have bad customer service i will try and get as much money as i can out of the company.

But going to buy somthing knowing that you will be over charged just to gain 66p just seems pointless. Maybe i could see the point if it was £20 - £30 or more hell i would prob be doing it but for 66p seems a waste of time to me

So people are paying 1.34 for peas they dont want just to get £2.00 back.. So they are making 0.66p.. I have got to ask what is the point. Why rip companys off. I understand if you want an item and they make a mistake but to go and buy them just to get compo is something i dont understand. Well not just for 66p anyway. if its £20 - £30 then i can maybe see the point. if everyone does that then they are going to lose money and the price will go up. Look at car insurance since everyone has started making claims
have a read through th Tescos thread - there are plenty of people on there buying things they don't want! Some people were saying about giving things to charity last week .

No one is ripping anyone off, ASDA offer the reward scheme so you can tell them if there is an error and they can sort out the price label so other people don't get mislead on the price or offer. Some people don't notice differences of a few pence or can't be bothered to tell the store staff the £2 is an incentive and so the person pointing it out gets the £2 reward. It saves paying more staff members to constantly checking shelf prices - the customers do it for £2.
What's wrong with buying peas lots of people eat them it is not like everyone rushing out to get a mis-sprice on a specialist medicine that they have no use for.
  • if your buying them anyway no problem. But what about they people that are buying them to make 66p then asking what do they do with the peas because they dont want them

I was one of them! Whilst I am as selfish as the next person, I really really like this idea and will DEFINITELY be doing it even more in the run up to Xmas. I already sort my elderly father out with all the meat he needs and I also help out other members of my family who are struggling at the moment - it certainly gives me the motivation to get to the Tesco CS desk and get the R&R! Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly Bono or Geldof  , I keep a lot of the stuff for myself but what better way to get a 'huge, sweep all before it' juggernaut as Tesco to inadvertantly help out the disadvantaged? Great feeling.

They can give them to an elderly neighbour in their street who likes peas and who maybe finding this time of year tough with the increasing in heating etc. and is happy to accept free stuff and isn't so worried like you about ASDA forking out £2 and not all going to their American Wal-Mart millionaire owners.

If they fix the error when someone reports it and change the label then all each store should have to fork out is £2 on every misprice.

It's not just about profit for some of us, these stores are so complacent about the amount of overcharging for very good reason, NO COST PROFIT and of course for the individual manager who's bonus is based on turnover why put a price right if your making extra profit.

As for not being worth it for 66p but another matter if its £20 or £30, how does your arguement for price increases, surely a 66p loss is going to be less likely to increase a price than a £20 loss? In any event there is no loss as the store has probably overcharged the last few thousand customers for the product you have just had a 66p refund on!

Your own post can be viewed from more than one angle, someone might say you display greed by indicating 66p not worth your while but £20 is.
