Asda overcharged

Popped into my local Asda yesterday. Was overcharged on 2 King potnoodle-low salt chicken & mushroom. Had a yellow sel stating was 92p now 66p.
Went to Cs desk, girl went to check and refunded me 52p. I didn't want to sound too cheeky, so just mentioned " Oh, you don't advertise your policy when overcharged then", Cs lady replied, " we had training about it yesterday and doesn't start until 1st November".
So guess she lied, so just off to phone HO and will let you know what they say;)0 -

I just phoned HO, she's sending out a gift card, I think for only £2, maybe because they're 2 of the same product (don't agree with that), didn't have the guts to question the amount. She said that she'd get onto my local store as this policy has been running for a while. I asked if they're going to be advertising the policy instore as most people don't know about this. She offered to pass my suggestions on.
I also told her that the customers knew more than the staff, she went silent:rotfl:0 -
Spoke to 'Stuart' at HO a couple of weeks ago who confirmed that you should get a £2 giftcard for each product/item, i.e. if you get 2 of the same product and are overcharged, that should be 2x £2 giftcards. But I have also spoken to a woman at HO who stated it is definitely only ONE giftcard in these circumstances. Serioulsy, who to believe with this company?I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

Alot of people say ASDA weasle out of this £2 gift card but my store always give it without me asking on misprices. Often the item is less than £2 so I gain more than if I had a Tesco misprice. My ASDA staff are really friendly.
When I went to Tesco on a misprice they tried first only to offer the difference and then when asked for the item free they did all manor of weasling (it was only a single low value item).0 -

The website text doesn't say "each product/item" just "each product" so 2x same Bacon wrong price and 2x same Beans wrong price could only be 2 gift cards not 4 (1 for the Bacon Product, 1 for the Beans Product). Together with the difference refunded on each.0 -

Whilst I know where you are coming from, it is still IMO very ambiguous. How about 5 packets of crisps, same manufacturer but different flavour?Plus with your argument they could also say 5 packs of meat but all different TYPES, would just quailfy for 1x giftcard. And what about 1 can of HP beans and one can of Heinz, for instance?

So people are paying 1.34 for peas they dont want just to get £2.00 back.. So they are making 0.66p.. I have got to ask what is the point. Why rip companys off. I understand if you want an item and they make a mistake but to go and buy them just to get compo is something i dont understand. Well not just for 66p anyway. if its £20 - £30 then i can maybe see the point. if everyone does that then they are going to lose money and the price will go up. Look at car insurance since everyone has started making claimsFiliss0 -
