I have to say I want to encourage as many people as possible to go for an Asda misprice. This company really do want sorting out!I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

more than tesco's? do you have no morals?
i do my weekly shop at Asda, have done for years. wrong pricing is a regular thing at Asda.
is it worth printing the T&C's stating the £2.00 card from Asda's website to have incase of CS problems?
i understand this may appear to make it premeditated, but i was thinking maybe after the 1st run in with CS i could say i printed it off because of previous problems.0 -
HI there,
A lot of people have had problems with Asda in relation to this, as someone has said there is another thread. I originally posted the comment from Asda's website for all to see and then went and complained as on four occasions consectively (sp) I was overcharged and no mention of a giftcard. I originally emailed this lady: Arlene.Murphy@asda.co.uk and said I was unhappy and didn't think it was acceptable to be overcharged so much within short period of time. She said thanks, will inform relevant store, etc, usual brush off. I was looking at the website and stumbled across the policy, so I sent her an email with the quote from the website and she ignored it. I phoned, email and finally threatened to go to Trading Standards within a week and got my £10 giftcard through the post last week.
I went to stay with my sister and the Asda store in Wakefield tried to fob us off with the 'only if you leave the store' so we said we'd leave and come back, then they could give us the petrol money as opposed to the giftcard, so they gave us the giftcard instead
What I don't understand is why CS is so hung up on not giving it to you, I don't think I'd be bothered, particularily if it's company policy. It's not like you get in taken from your own wages, so unless Asda are pressuring their staff not to give them out.
Anyway don't be fobbed off, use the email address in the email and contact Arlene Murphy, she's the Customer Service Manager (or similar)

I was told by one HO bod that the reason they are soooooo reluctant to give out giftcards is because it actually DOES come out of staff bonuses. Fact is, who knows what the truth is with Asda anymore??I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!0

update:
went into Asda this morning.... couldnt see manager but got complaints form, sympathy from cs lady and a £2 gift card
Probably wont follow it up cos I dont have time
Thanks for information from everyone x0 -
hello, I went for my first free £2 gift card after reading your mischarge for the peas and bought two packets. The CS refunded me the overcharge difference and 1 £2 card so when i asked if I should get 2, one for each item, surprise surprise went on saying no is one per transaction. Calmly and politely asked to speak to the manager that at her own time came and said she was the "runner" (assistant man.) and that I will only be getting one card as is for 1 transaction. So I took names and left.
I phoned Asda this morning quoting the website statement on overcharging and the CS said "well on this occasion..." so took my details and said she will post another card to me. VERY UNHAPPY They decided to put this policy so why they dont want to honour it! I am so annoyed cant wait to see the next misprice to go back there!
Bt the way isnt there an ASDA specific misprice thread just like Tesco? If not we should start one!0
