ahhh haaa just spoke to the job center regarding the £16,40 bus fare im ment to get while doing this and they saying it will go in my bank with my benefit:hello: hello,

Right i have now been told last night that IF I'm offered the job it will be 15 hours a week only
earnings per month would be around £400, after tax.
i would then lose my carers allowance and after doing that benefit check thing on here, wold also lose my tax credit , well it would come down alot anyway, and would lose the little £10.00 a week help with hb we get,,
it would seem i would be worse off if i did this job,
i spoke to manager last night and he is going to sit with me tonight and work it out ,
i need at least 4 days work a week or their is no point me doing it,
understand i want to work badly but i also want to more money than i will have to give up by way of tax credit and careers allowance,
i want full time night work and dont think this place can offer me that,:(0 -

Talk about losing a pound and finding a penny!
Hopefully they will give you some incentive to actually work rather than have to decline any forthcoming offer due to losing more money than you will be earning.
The system is a shambles.0 -

Total Shambles aint it just :rotfl:,, i have to laugh or i'll cry i was enjoying it as well.
ohh well you live and learn;),
lets hope they can or will come up with something for me if not it'll be their loss not mine,
im the stupid one , i get that now as in my desperation and determination to find work i never checked it all out before hand,
never asked the right questions from the start i just jumped right in their ,
but what the heck i will finish my 10 days with them (as im no quitter) and i do like it , lost 10 lb in weight as well since doing it,,
iv had a new cv made up today to say i doin the tesco trial and at least i can state a good reason as to why i never got or took a real job from it,
will be handing them out in every local supermarket tomorrow looking for night work,
will see what the manager says tonight also you never know i may get lucky but me being a right pessimist i doubt it will let you all know how it goes

I am sure you will find a job soon because you are a positive person and you now have up to date employment on your CV. Its sounds like Tesco will give you a good reference.0 -

as for the reference i asked this the first night and was told NO they wont give you a reference but you can state you did the trial on your cv, (big deal to that)
The way this whole work trials going its absolutely just my sorry luck really,,
and watch with my luck i'll probably be asked to do another one in some other supermarket once i put my cv in :rotfl: , i probable end up a free lance freebie with my luck looool,,0 -
Ohhh thanks but honestly im SOOOO not a positive person , in fact my 23 year old gets the hump with me as he says i bring to much negativity round him and stress him out loool,

So if there is no reference are they just going to confirm the dates that you worked there.0 -
Sorry to hear how things have been here - I was routing for you...
15 hours a week - well thats not much use to someone needing a full-time job now is it?
Wotnames should have said in advance that if they did offer you anything it might not be the "proper" full-time job scenario....
Hope things work out for you soon.0 -

Maybe if you've got to know one of the managers fairly well and made a good impression, they might be willing to give you a reference anyway, even if they don't 'have' to.0
