Has anyone stayed at the peterborough hotel and if so what is it like and is the 3 course dinner good
  • We use the Bull in Peterborough for business meetings at work, Hotel's ok, better than a Travel Inn but not exactly the Ritz, but the rooms are nice, clean and "roomy" (no pun intended) although I've not stayed in an exec room. It's nice ad close to John Lewis if you want to get some shopping in and the cathedral if you're more into surroundings. There's a fantastic sweetie shop next door...it's like stepping back 30 years (nothing to do with the hotel, sorry just get excited about Kola cubes in pretty cellophane bags!) The food's quite nice, average sized portions but again better than average! Oh and it's only 5 mins walk from the train station. HTH

Have booked this as my parents xmas present. I booked February and will let my parents choose where they would like to go. thank you so much for this!
2012 Wins - May - Box of Magners. June - tickets to Udderbelly festival, Krave cereal, Trip to New York with £500 coach voucher :D
  • Thank you very much for letting us know about the deal Cagan! :)
Managed to get a voucher for february and have booked to go away for my birthday at the Norfolk Royal Hotel in Bournemouth. :jAm really pleased cause we were meant to be going abroad (as it's my 30th) but situation has changed and we can't afford it so am really looking forward to it now!!!
Just to let other people know that if they are thinking about staying at this hotel they charge £12 per 24 hrs for car parking (so would be £24). Am fine with this cause it is a very good deal anyway and the hotel looked really nice. Also never been to Bournemouth.
    Thanks again :T

Thanks for the info. I've booked Bournemouth for my parents in March and want them to be "bill free". Spoke to the hotel and they let me pre-book and pay for the car park for them. Still a great deal!
  • Does anyone know what is included meal wise?? is it the bar meals to a certain value or is it the restaurant?? does anyone know what you can choose and up to what value.
also which hotels charge to park most of them seem to have free parking

I asked Wendy, the reservation lady, your questions when I called yesterday to buy another voucher (I’m treating myself this time!).

She said that dinner is served in the restaurant and you get a 3 course table d’hote menu with coffee, however you can pay a supplement if you want to order something from the main menu.

Parking is free at all hotels except for Leeds, Nottingham and Bournemouth.

If you have any questions just give her a call, she is so helpful! :T

  • Just to let you know i booked bournemouth and theres actually a multi-storey car park down the next road which is only about £4 for 24 hours for those who dont want to end up paying alot for parking!
