Morning! Wow that long weekend went fast... good trip down to London - play was brilliant, we walked our little feet off (so much I had to invest £6 in a pair of flip flops because my boots were rubbing!), had lovely meal on Friday night with 50% off, had a horrible coach journey home but grateful in the end as trains had been cancelled!

Sunday was a very lazy day - feeling very tired and hormonal - just watched eBay sales finished... in the end we made £150! Mr S has still to get his bike helmet and lock but we have already spent a bit of the surplus on errr clothes. Had a not entirely pleasant visit to *evil shopping centre* yesterday - but they do have a huge Primark where I got a few summery bits. Sorted clothes out at home too and have piles to eBay, charity shop and recycle into some sort of sewing project.

Anyway, back at work and not happy about it - spent yesterday having that Sunday feeling :( Seriously keeping my fingers crossed that something more substantial comes out of second job. Talking of which have another £50ish coming from there as I got another one of my mentees through their qualification :)

I'm sure there was other news, but I'll have to come back as it pops into my head!

Hurray to a great London trip! Tho sorry the job still feels bad - that sounds fairly permanent now ....

Was it good to watch your ebay sales finish? I did that the first couple of times I put stuff on ebay, the way experienced bidders sometimes hop in at the last moment (which I do myself now :) ) thats a great total!

It was the first time I'd sold on there for a few years so it was fun.. wasn't intending to do it but was so tired and wasn't the best weather so was kind of hanging around anyway.

The job... yeah it hasn't been as bad as I thought today (built a few things up in my head to be worse than they were :o) but still not where I want to be.

The weather's been so weird, hasn't it - I think its quite disruptive - with that long hot spell, I'd kind of got myself geared up for summer, and hey presto, what feels like early spring comes back again. I disapprove!

I also disapprove! We're supposed to be getting a long hot spell now - heating up this week then hot for the rest of June :T

Remembered one of the other things I was going to mention earlier - it's payday - hooray! and I have just paid for my next OU course.

Morning! OK, it's all about the holiday planning now - did online check-in yesterday, printed out hotel details, wrote a list of restaurants last night (with little descriptions so we remember which one is which). Still need to sort out a map of how to get to the hotel and get euros.

Finished essay last night, not totally happy with it but can't face looking at it any more!

Anyway, plodding along very slowly with work. Got to go and see second job people at lunchtime to hand in long overdue CRB form - not actually met the ones I'm going to see so that should be interesting :)

Well that was nice, took my CRB form in and had a good chat with second job lady - she is MD of the company who run the overall project of which we are a sort of subsidiary part. We have very similar views on a lot of things to do with the project, and I also heard about a few possible exciting trips ahead.

That sounds good! Frankly, I wish somebody would pay me to go on an exciting trip right now ....

    Have an exciting evening too!

Well I am really trying to be cautiously optimistic re second job - but it seems pretty sure that it will continue at least so that's good. Put in my timesheets so far so should be getting about £500-ish in the middle of the month :T

Exciting evening consisted of.. posting eBay parcels, getting some bits for tea to add to leftovers from noodly lunch on Monday (such a bargain, £5.80 for a main course and drink and there was so much leftover from my laksa soup that we brought it home and had it for tea last night with a few prawns and beansprouts chucked in). Then cycled to sports shop to get a helmet for Mr S, cycled home, ate noodly things, spoke to my dad, and looked at local cycling routes online while half-watching the Apprentice. Discovered that there is a free bike check thing here once a month and it just happens to be this Saturday, so hopefully going to that to get things tweaked a bit! :D

Today it is far too hot to be at work - ate my breakfast outside and it was boiling already by then. Have brought my course books so I can sit in the park with them at lunch time - really want to get through a good chunk of this section before we go away next week. As for work.. I have about 30 letters to type/send, so better get on I suppose!

You're storming ahead! With living your life, that is. As for sitting outside to eat brekkie, that makes me think of the pix you put onto facebook .... which makes me think of how all I need to do is wash my nice aluminium bistro chairs (and my horrible white plastic table, but we won't think about that) and I could do that too! Good for you for actually doing it, and for taking the safety aspect of the cycling seriously.

I don't know what flavour the soup is ... I really need to get a life :o
