And I've survived presentation number 2! I was happier with this one, think I spoke better than last time.

My manager has just asked how old I am, and was very surprised that I'm as old as I am.. she thought I was one of the youngest in the office. Not sure if that's a good thing or not!

Well done you on the presentation! Hmmm, I'm not sure about the looking younger either, in that context ... though usually I'd say its a *very* good thing :) What do you reckon, thinking about it now?

I think it's good from a looks point of view - although it used to annoy me when I was mid-20s and still getting asked for ID for a bottle of wine! I'm not sure about it from a general acting younger/ confidence point of view... I think I might come across as younger because I'm not so confident. Hmmm.

Thats exactly it! I felt very weird at being offered child fare on the buses when I was about 24 .... but when I was carded in Chicago a few years ago, I told the bartender that I loved him :D

The confidence issue is not great .... but I think you've come on leaps and bounds recently - and you'll do more, you haven't *finished* developing, you're only just getting revved up!

Lol... it's funny isn't it, you want to look older for years, and then you want to look younger!

I think the main thing that bothers me is that I think people don't take me seriously because they think I'm younger. As you say, I'm working on it. I wish I'd done it sooner but I can't do anything about that now.

Very very tired today - had a restless night being woken up by the weather, wild out there! Not got too much on today, a meeting with the green committee which is always nice, and hopefully not too much else.

Looking forward to hopefully getting the fruit bushes planted at the weekend. I planted some basil on the windowsill last night, time to get some homegrown stuff going again...

Apart from that I'll be trying to get some studying done as I've been hopeless this week!

Morning! Funny weekend - was in a bit of a mood and the weather was shocking. Still.. good stuff, I got out in the garden (ended up very cold and wet but felt better), planted the blackberry and had a bit of a tidy up. Decided where to put the other fruit bushes but need to chop back a bit of evergreen tree first. Then did a seed stocktake and bought all the other things we wanted online.. peas, broad beans, onions, lots of different salad leaves (mixture of standard things like rocket with interesting ones like purslane and landcress), and some african wild garlic which looks really nice with purple flowers.

Sunday I stomped round Sainsburys being grumpy, but got some good bargains - the freezer is packed full. Had lovely roast duck with sprouts and leeks from the garden last night.

Managed to get some studying done but got a bit grumpy with that too, reading some semi-scientific stuff which annoys me!

Quieter week at work this week, which I have taken advantage of so far by doing nothing!

Lots of grumpiness! Poor you - is that hormonal, or stress, or what - you were having a rotten time at work last night, with all those hundreds of emails....

Interesting that you've planted a blackberry - I had wild blackberries at the top of my garden in the other place, never picked them (I'd have disturbed the fox cubs!!!) - here tho, there's a very badly looked after thorn-something, which I *think* is a blackberry, a foot from the house. They've let the suckers get twelve feet long, easily, and just as it was starting to show new growth, just in time, I think, I chopped it back drastically - there's still four feet or so left of each shoot. I don't know if I should have chopped more, but I was thinking not to do it all at once. Its got going again, which is nice, so I'll have something right on the patio thats providing food. I'm really hoping I can do the things I've planned in the garden.

    Take care of yourself.

I think the grumpiness is mainly due to last week, and also just a lot of analysing myself at the moment. I'd have loved to have coped well with the pressure last week, and I guess I did OK, but I was tired and well, grumpy a lot of the time.

I think you can chop blackberries back quite severely... I did read all about them at the weekend but it clearly hasn't sunk in! But that is lovely having something edible within easy reach :)

Plant research is good :) I've read the Edible Garden book from front to back now, she really is good at giving realistic advice. I still want an allotment though.. or a farm.. well maybe not a big farm...
