Payday, hurray! And you're obviously going to move in exalted circles where Michelin food is commonplace
hurray too.
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hehe - I think it's because we'd been looking at Paris restaurants, some of which were rather posh (and rather expensive!)
Quick budget for the month:
In bank: £1315 (£1268 wages plus left over from last month)
Expenses : £365 (rent and mobile)
Debt repayments: £360
Surplus : £590
Already accounted for £50 (half of electricity bill – finally received after 18 months!) + £42 (clothes)
Left over £498 + £10 in purse = £508.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Thanks Elli! Well, I survived, it wasn't amazing but it was alright - in fact it turned into more of a dialogue with the other people about the bits that affect them (I'm not sure they were particularly interested in the other bits!). One of them said it was 'good' and 'interesting' afterwards so I guess I didn't bore them all stupid at least. Pleased that I managed to make people laugh about a couple of things too - I'd printed out a little leaflet with the main points on and a pic of a student getting his award from one of our very senior staff who was looking very smiley, they seemed to like that
Otherwise.. still got looooads of work to get through. My brain hurts, and so does my back/ hip, but must keep ploughing on!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
You gave them a bit of a laugh, and something they could refer to - that combination is killer! Well done you2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Today - finishing sending out applications. 14 departments to go, and I want to have them done by lunchtime. That might mean I don't get lunch till 3pm...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Nope, it's no good, I need lunch! My brain and arms are protesting...
More than halfway through though, so I should get finished today. I might go and hide somewhere for the rest of the week after thatDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
