Waiting.. impatiently.. for DCA letter. If it doesn't turn up by the end of the month might cancel my standing order for this month. That usually gets a response out of them!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

And as if by magic, the letters were there when I got home last night.
Turns out...
- I had the account numbers the wrong way round on my records so I've actually paid more off one than I thought and less off the other.
- I owe about £200 more than I thought
- rather than sending me a statement for one of the accounts they've sent me a 'we now own this debt and you need to contact us now' letter.. erm, yeah I've been paying you for the last few years so I know you own it, you numpties!
So I owe £2116.15 - one account is £1592.00 and the other is £524.15. I think I'm going to pay the smaller one now out of my savings/ overdraft to get that out of the way (that's the one they've decided to do the whole 'phone us now or face legal action' nonsense about). And then I can pay the money back to my overdraft on payday this month, before I get charged interest on it, which leaves me with the £1592.00 - I reckon I can pay £500ish to that in February. £1092 might be a bit of a push in March so I might now be looking at April to be DF.. but I might just be able to squeeze things enough to keep to the original date. Good to know exactly where I stand anyway!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Oh it's never that simple is it - tried to pay them online and the maximum I can pay is £200ish.. it says "Payment must be at least the minimum payment and no greater than the total outstanding balance".. confused! Might have to actually phone.. grrrr.

As you say, never simple! That sounds completely contradictory, very grrrrrrr. Hope they can see sense some time before the next millenium.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Glad you got it sorted. Its a pain isn't it when they don't put the right thing on their website and they don't answer email, in normal working life if you said you didn't answer email - people would just tell you not to be silly.
Hope you have a nice day!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Right, I was brave and phoned, balance is actually £205.56 (which is closer to what I thought). In that case I can leave the overdraft alone, and just use the £200 in my savings. Yay.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

You should be taking money off them for being so completely incompetent!
Glad you don't have to use overdraft
