Salt and vinegar crisps, tea and cake. Hurray!

No music here right now - Country House Rescue is on, while waiting for Torchwood :)

Morning! It's Friday - I am at work, but realised I had one little sneaky half day's holiday left so am taking that this afternoon. Mr S hopefully finishing early too - he's had a really busy week - and think we will be collapsing in a lazy heap on the sofa. Had a bit of a late night last night after a very emotional phone call with my dad (his 60th birthday and him and my mum managed to have a big fall out, typical them :(), then a long chat with Mr S and a few sherries before bed :o

Weekend plans.. might be going to see a local eco-house thingy tomorrow (thanks to Cheery for the tip-off :D), maybe a bit of bramble-picking, hopefully getting on with essay (though am waiting for tutor to get back to me about something first), tootling, cooking, eating (got a voucher for Sri Lankan restaurant that has to be used soon).. usual sort of thing :)

Its the open house weekend, isn't it? I've got a seminar to go to all day, well, 4 hours, free CPD, but it means I need to chill out on Sunday. Have fun! I bet there's gardens available on it as well.

Oooh, I didn't realise it was a whloe house open weekend! What fun! We're at a wedding sadly.

Glad you can finish early Squizz :T: T Sounds like you very much need it xx
  • Ooh yeah just did a search and there's lots of eco-houses open round the country, how exciting :)

Parents.. they'll start talking again in a few days, I'm sure. I doubt the big issues will ever be sorted though, most of the time they just about get along but there's constant tension and bickering. At least I don't see much of it these days, but it does make me sad.

Anyway, it's the weekend! Mr S is finishing at 1, I have instructions to get lunch on the way home ("I fancy brie and a baguette and maybe a pork pie" :rotfl:) Have a lovely one xx

  • *insert predictable comment about Mondays here*

Morning.. well so much for weekend plans - got home on Friday, via supermarket, had lunch, then fell asleep on the sofa. Saturday we both woke up feeling a bit rough, just really tired, so lazy day, and then Sunday I had a very very dodgy stomach :( Refused to go back to bed even though I felt like it, seemed like a waste of the weekend, so managed to do a bit of essay writing, but other than that just been on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. Of course I feel much better today.....

...except that I'm at work and have already had 'words' with someone.. lots to do but really feel like just walking out!

Should hopefully hear whether I've got an interview for other job sometime this week, and whether I do or not, I came up with some plans whilst lazing on the sofa!

  • Cheered up a bit now after initial rage (my computer has never heard such - whispered - language before :o).

Plans basically involve lots of savings so I can escape full time drudgery at some point - if I'm stuck here then there needs to be a point to it!
