Um, that does sound like a rather tootly hectic weekend!
Ergh to aggressive rude people - I can't bear them - manners cost nothing - I hope they stub their toe later.
*hello* I'm having a duvet afternoon, so I'm bound to blather on a bit on mse!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Oh no! Poor you! Absolutely no need to be rude whatsoever. You poor thing0

:rotfl: this really made me laugh. You OK Pippi, is that a poorly duvet afternoon or just a having a quiet afternoon sort of afternoon?
I can see why she was a bit annoyed about something but honestly.. scary.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Right, fingers crossed for no scary ladies today. Strange lurgy is still hanging around.. think I might be allergic to work as it only flares up during the day. On the Lemsip again anyway.
Last night was mostly musical-ish, bit of studying (must admit I am looking forward to getting to the end of this course now!) and a bit of veg box investigation (i.e. do we want to carry on getting one from this company, someone else, or not at all - the conclusion, maybe fortnightly between farmers market visits).
Badminton tonight - been doing a lot of thinking about the exercise thing. I have this image of myself as 'not physical' - I was generally rubbish at sport at school and I've never been particularly strong, and I think I've sort of characterised myself as 'mental' (erm :rotfl:) rather than physical. But I was always OK at running (I mean, I ran 16 miles the other year!), I did dancing for years, and I used to play the flute for hours every day which is a pretty physical thing even if you aren't moving about much. Anyway, the point of all that waffle is that I need to try and shake off the not-physical mindset and think about getting properly fit. Started by having a go with some small weights I found in the cellar last night, but was tired carrying them up the stairs :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
What about all the gardening you do! I imagine you're very fit - your aerobic levels might need a bit of tweaking, but if you ran 16 miles a little while back, not much!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

My gardening isn't that physical really, no heavy digging..although hopefully once we get started with the farm volunteering there should be more of that. I don't feel fit, I get out of breath really quickly, I have really wimpy arms.. :rotfl:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Poor you! Its how you feel that matters, thats true - as long as you're not beating yourself up ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hey up
I know what you mean about the not physical thing - I've always done a physcial job so ate and drank what I wanted, since phd malarkay and more desk based stuff my weight has gone up as my appetite hasn't gone down
Bodybalance - yoga/pilates type thing did wonders for my arms, I've commando legs and thighs but punny mcpunny arms!
Ponders
The duvet day was a bleurgh kind of a day not an 'ill one' hope you don't encounter the scary angry lady again.
Going between farmers markets and veg box scheme sounds like a good compromiseTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

What an image :rotfl: I'm the same though.. highland dancing/ ballet/ running legs but always wimp out of arm exercises cos I find them hard
Noticed on your thread you're applying for a job in the Co-op, I was always much fitter when I worked in shops (even in Greggs with all the discounted food) - standing up/ running about all day does that to you. Actually, one of my favourite times at work was when I worked in a chemists - wasn't that keen on being on the front counter, but loved being at the back doing dispensing, moving about but also using my brain!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I was thinking about a similar thing yesterday Squizz, trying to get myself back into mindset of 'fit active person' rather than 'lazy slobbing around person' :rotfl: :rotfl: Couple of classes at the gym has set me in the right direction, just need to carry on now! :T0
