You sound like you've made a great start! Right, just have to think "I am an athlete"... ignoring the fact I had cake for breakfast (but it was carrot cake, so it had fruit and veg in it! :D)

Morning.. not quite feeling like an athlete, badminton was good but I was seriously achy afterwards. Sports hall is closed next week as they're using it for students registering so need to think about something else to do instead.. hmmm.

Not much else done last night, had an early night, but still struggled to get out of bed cos it was so dull this morning!

Plod plod plod through work, then flute lesson tonight :j

Veg box arrives today.. potatoes, onions, carrots, courgettes, mushrooms, salad, runner beans and cabbage.. so more plotting needed :)

  • Hey up
sunny here - but windy - oh my its windy

Do they tell you what will be in the box?

Next week instead of badminton can you go on a nice local 'forage' walk near you all the stretching, walking and picking might keep you busy? Just a thought, I'm dreaming of foraging as we can't do much here - brambles are now brown leaved (burnt with wind) green blobs of hardness - not plump and yummy at all.................

Enjoy the flute lesson tonight :)

Thats good to know whats in the box beforehand - its one of the reasons I stopped, way back when, as well as the delivery times not stacking up - I never knew what was going to be in it, didn't have a freezer to cook and store stuff, it rarely worked well.

Enjoy the fluting. I *have* to get off the computer and into the shower :o

Yep a list goes on the veg box place website about a week ahead, although they seem to have made a lot of last minute changes this week as it's different from when I looked at the weekend. Handy to know what's on the way though.

Foraging might be an idea - we've been planning to go bramble picking for weeks, hopefully can still find some decent ones. Either that or a big cycle somewhere..

And foraging! Must go again at the weekend if we can fit it in round family wedding :)
  • I'm not quite sure where we'll put any more jam or whatever if we do get blackberries... :rotfl:

Counting the hours till I get home today, seriously not enjoying work at all *tries not to scream*

Thanks Se, it's only a few percent more than the last one but breaking the 90% barrier was a bit of a shock!

Blah I'm so tired.. thinking about seeing if I can work from home tomorrow just to remove a bit of stress. Got a horrible long boring data entry job to get through today first.

Enjoyed flute lesson - got some new things to play including a lovely Bach piece which I've not done before. Was surprised by one of my teacher's four cats leaping off the windowsill halfway across the room in the middle of playing something though, hadn't noticed it was there :rotfl:
