  • hurrah to multi coloured schedules :D even if you don't stick to it rigidly!

Corrie is blocked out in mine as non-negotiable if I am in the house :rotfl:

your fluting and electric guitaring sound rather cool, I'm very envious!

Stopping the strain is crucial, as Pooky says. That you've got that already, and you're no stranger to it, says you need to manage it really carefully :( sorry.

As for the scheduling - I've noticed you've relaxed over the last couple of weekends, but before then, and during the weekday evenings still, it sounds like you do loads - obviously, now you're monitoring it, it might well change, but look back on your reports on here if you're in doubt. I think you use your time really well.

Thanks for the 'rant' Pooky, but :( to your poor wrists. I couldn't find a foot rest but have a temporary box in place instead. I am now much higher up which feels weird but I think my hands are in a better position. Ha, that's strange, just clicked on Yahoo to check my mail... http://uk.lifestyle.yahoo.com/correct-way-sit-desk-090000879.html

Lionhearted - I'm seriously tempted to get a mic for my flute and put it through some of the weird effects on the guitar amp.. mwahaha :D

Hmm the evenings.. maybe it's because most of it's fairly passive - I don't go out to any classes or anything like that - and because I always feel like there's so much more I want to do! It's partly to make sure I fit a bit of exercise/ relaxation/ stretching in there too.

ps I just found some more stray tomato plants near work.. but the original one has disappeared! :rotfl:

  • my big harp has a mic and my electric one can plug straight in to anything guitary - and my synth loving ex hubby has just donated his effects boxes :j

and he may just be persuaded to give me a few other of his home grown creations too as he has a new baby now so no time to mess about with electrickery :rotfl:

I am hoping to blag a loop station too but it's not been very successful yet, I can do it through my mac but a proper pedal set up would be much easier :) think I will have to save up my pennies!

the possibilities are endless, as Eddie Izzard said in the recycling advert

good luck and let me know what you come up with, we will have to compare notes! :j

Ooh that sounds like lots of fun :D Just looked at proper flute mics and well  - either have to save up and/or improvise with something else (cheap)!

Afternoon! Just finished the writing course which was lots of fun but a little bit scary - nothing like starting the morning with writing a poem and reading it out! Still, very useful, but like all these things at work.. not long enough. Want to do more writing.. NOW! (but not necessarily read it out).

Evening schedule worked quite well last night although I was delayed by 15 minutes of intense garden watering - my poor tomatoes were all floppy! Seriously achy today from badminton (plus Sunday's walk) but wrists are better for spending the morning away from the computer.. maybe I should start handwriting all my work...?

Squizz this may sound mad BUT could you try wearing those tube-ey style wrist supports ? Hope you find some relief. :) x

I've thought about that too Elli, will see how it goes.

Huge surprise this morning.. no wages from second job! I know someone contacted them yesterday about a few people (including me) who haven't been paid so we'll see what happens. Last time they came through late afternoon so will attempt to be patient. Bank account is a bit  at the moment though.

Stuck to my evening schedule last night.. flute, bit of pilates, tea, study, TV :)

Another boring day of work today.. yawn :(

Thanks Elli :) It's more like grump day here! Everything seems to be getting on my nerves. Second job do at least apparently have my timesheets but are now being funny because I've accidentally done two for the same week (should have kept track better, but aargh just pay me for what I've done!!)

Getting really p*ssed off with people at work, and very nearly ranted at the women in the post office who wouldn't stop gossiping while they served me.

I think I might be a little bit hormonal :o
