    I'll PM you ;)

Had a good evening of badminton - got my best score ever of 18.. one day I might even win :rotfl: Did some reading for essay and then some tootling. Arms are a bit tired this morning though!

Lovely sunny day... just a shame to be stuck at work but I've brought a book so I can go and read somewhere at lunchtime if it stays nice. Got lots of little bits and pieces to do but feel quite 'blaaah' about it all. I should write a list or something I suppose.

Bank account looks a bit  as I paid for the apartment yesterday. Since Mr S paid for the boiler repair and the Eurostar tickets, that more or less balances out. Really could do with second job managing to pay me this month!

  • hi! not been on in ages but am lurking away :D

great news about the tootling (and I spent LOADS on music after I started again, really feel sorry for my poor parents having to pay for all that while I was growing up!), love the jumper and hilarious about the tomato plant :D

green squirrels though.... don't you need red ones (and I'm wondering if I was the only person that thought they were frogs to start with...then realised! duhh!)

I've not found a red squirrel jumper yet :D

Oh yes I do really feel for my parents - can't remember how much lessons were back then, but there was all the sheet music, and driving me about everywhere to lessons and orchestra rehearsals.. I dread to think how much they spent

Remembered I did have something nice to do today - got a voucher for nice spa place near where I work (£70 for two people for a 'spa experience' that would normally cost £100 each!) so have just been to book that for when my lovely friend comes to stay in a couple of months. Looking forward to being scrubbed and steamed and massaged :) It does always make me really nervous going in there to book it though! :o

    Sounds lovely squizz! :T :T

(fortunately all my music lessons at school were free! :T or I wouldn't have done any of them. They even lent me a flute for free when I was saving for my own from my Saturday job :D)

That's pretty good! I could have had lessons free at secondary school but I started a bit earlier than that - plus the teacher at school was a scary old lady who was actually an oboe player, but nobody ever learned the oboe!

Was really glad to get home last night - still feeling very uninspired about work! Little bit of a worrying experience walking home as we got caught up in a group of teenage boys with hoodies and scarves round their faces who were ranging across the main road, walking in front of cars etc.. must admit I thought "if you're going to riot just let me get home first" :o Couple of police vans in the road and helicopter flying over most of the night, but I think they were just being cautious.

Like a lot of people I guess, I watched the news last night.. was really struck by the report on the Somali refugee camp in Kenya - if some of these teenagers think they've got it hard, maybe they should spend some time over there (yes, I know our country is a mess and many things need sorted out, but I bet none of them have had to sell everything they own and walk hundreds of miles just to survive, watched their children die of malnutrition...)

Aside from ranting at the TV, I did quite a bit of studying, watered the garden (am I turning into a proper gardener cos I was actually pleased when it started raining this morning?). On the way home persuaded Mr S to do a proper food shop as we'd slipped a bit into just picking things up on the day. So we are sorted out for food for the rest of the week (and he paid for it, which is nice :))

    Right.. work I suppose...

Grr this week seems never-ending. At least today I have a list written, although whether I actually get anything done is another matter.

The combination of badminton, flute playing, typing course work and being slumped in front of a computer all week have left me really achy - flute practice was quite painful in my wrists last night :( Feel like I could do with being away from a computer for a few days but other than having time off sick that's not really possible. Blah.

Off to find where I've hidden my positive head...

Uh oh! Be careful of your wrists! I may be being a little paranoid here :o

Not at all paranoid.. a few years back I ended up having to wear a support on it for a while after a really busy time at work. Damn computers! (and partly my bad posture and inability to relax :o)
