Maybe they eat more Bubbles
Last night was... really good! I was so nervous - when I started playing it was appalling, but once I relaxed a bit it got better. Going a little bit back to basics working on technique before I play anything too demanding but in general feeling quite positive about it (after my massive overanalysis late last night of what I did/ said/ etc etc)
Sleepy this morning.. was hyper when I got in, then thought too much, then drank rather a lot of homemade ginger beer with a 'splash' of vodka... anyway, just have to get through a meeting about budgets (yawn) then it should be a relatively quiet day. No plans for the weekend other than the usual study, tootling, garden stuff....Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Excellent! You're bound to be nervous at first... liking the 'splash' tho :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

see, told you it wouldn't be so bad once you'd done it! :T :T (I only know that cos I was dead nervous myself last week and it turned out fine...

I know Cheery, you were right!
I had properly wobbly legs walking up there but she was really good at putting me at ease.. by the end of the lesson we were sitting on the floor surrounded by heaps of sheet music :rotfl:
Of course, I have now had to buy music and books of nasty technical exercises.. just spent £30 :eek:Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
:rotfl: :rotfl: at sitting on the floor :rotfl:
£30?! indeed! Mine gave me music, and told me to buy a scale book, which cost me £2.95 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Thinking you've gone with the slightly more professional option :rotfl: :rotfl: Apparently this week we'll be playing along with a CD of beetles songs :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Glad the lesson went well :T
How's the lunch challenge going? Smoked salmon and cream cheese baguette made from home today for me.....£2 to go into the pot in a couple of hoursSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Beatles songs sound fun! :T Well one of the things I had to buy, I already had, but I'd lost the flute part and didn't fancy reading it off the piano part
I get the impression she might be quite tough on me, but I probably need that!
Ummmm Hypno.. had a major slip up on the lunch front yesterday as I didn't bring anything and it was raining, so just dashed to the deli really nearby and spent £5.20  Found a cup a soup at home for today and still got some crackers left from last week. Definitely stocking up on 'drawer food' this weekend.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Ooh I'm very impressed - flute music ordered at 9.30, dispatched at 10.30!
Boring budget meeting done so can relax a bit for the day now
Forgot another thing I was going to post earlier.. think we've been playing badminton for about six weeks now - haven't lost any weight (which I was sort of hoping to as a side effect) but all my waistbands feel a little bit looser :TDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
