aren't you putting a newbie off posting?

I personally won't be using the method as I have no texts codes but can see how it may be helpful to others who don't want the hassle of having a text code refused...

well said:T:T It was a long informed post and even though I've used my text codes and had no problem it was good of them to post it in an easy to follow way.
Too many people on mse post comments that can put off new people, which is a shame as they might have been the one who sees the next great deal.
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

  • Just used our code in Coventry no problem. They had an offer of the month on Yankee Candles, 25% off the cinnamon range so got a medium one RRP £14.99 for £6.29. Also had all the Halloween 50% off, quite a few left.

Thanks going to try one tommorow ..daughter wants some hello kitty knickers ( just hope they have her size lol)

was going to email head office if i got refused .. as i did the survey at bottom of reciept to get it

    EDIT
Text code was taken ok ..SA asked if it was sent to me personally ..and asked me to read out the code as they were not allowed to handle phone .. got a bargain with the knickers but daughter had her eye on a gruffalo on way in ..so cost me an extra £6
  • Just used my £5 Free text code/voucher on a box of chocolates today, in Debenhams - Bury St Edmunds.

The shop assistant was very friendly, had no problems and it all went through ok. :j

The reason why some of the voucher codes and text codes don't work is some people have been 'generating' their own codes...

I'm not a techie but I did read that people were attempting to do this - So it means the person with the GENUINE code doesn't get to use it as it has been nabbed already!

I am unsure if this is completely true, but from someone who was generating codes they had stated:

It will not give you a repeat voucher.

Debenhams allocates about 30 vouchers to each household/IP so therefore the check-sum digits are only allocated to your IP, so therefore the digits you're changing is only changing the voucher number of which you are SUPPOSED to get, but haven't gotten yet.

What I mean is, when you sign up for you're first one, another 29 ish is already allocated to your household.

Again i don't know if this is definitely true, but when relating it to other computer activities i have been involved in it does sound pretty realistic to me.

Thanks to the person who stated this.
