E ON FIXONLINE V3 Coming to an end? Please Help

Hi Leeds
Many thanks for the kind comments; they're much appreciated.
Usually, changing suppliers takes between 4 to 6 weeks. This includes an initial Cooling Off period during which, as fluffpot says, nothing will happen.
Personally, I've not known a switch complete in less than 4 weeks. Therefore, I'm pretty well certain you will be ok if you start your switch now.
Just to confirm, as you will have completed the contract for Fixonline 3, you will not receive any cancellation fees but will receive all the discount applicable to the tariff.
However, you will not receive any discount on energy used between 2 December 2010 and the date the switch completes. Therefore, it will be in your best interests to keep this period to a minimum.
Hope this answers your question Leeds. Give me a shout if you need any more info as will be happy to help.

I'm too on Eon FixObline V3 and it's all rather confusing. I have spoken to Eon cs twice, once this morning and what they are telling me with regards to the discount (22.2%) is completely different from Malc (Eon representative).
"Just to confirm, as you will have completed the contract for Fixonline 3, you will not receive any cancellation fees but will receive all the discount applicable to the tariff". from Malc
I am planning to transfer to EDF and Eon cs told me if I leave them, I would lose my discount, regardless of the transfer taking place before or after the 1st Dec. I told them I would have completed the contract by the time of the transfer, but they said it doesn't matter. Whether you leave now or after 1st Dec, wouldn't make a difference. By leaving Eon you will lose all discount on the final bill. Which makes no sense at all. The discount should end the day I no longer am a Eon customer or in my case on completion of the contract.
Now I don't know what to do. I don't want to lose the discount and I also don't want to wait until after 1st Dec, since the EDF welcome bonus ends on the 30th Nov.
Any ideas?0 -
Hi Boo
I'm really sorry you've been so poorly advised by our Customer Services.
I can definitely confirm, if you complete the full term of Fixonline 3 right up to 1 December 2010, you will receive all the discount applicable to this product even if part of this falls within the final bill.
Also, the Fixonline 3 cancellation charge will not be applied after 1 December 2010 as the tariff will have ended.
The only discount you will lose on the final bill is for the period between 1 December 2010 and the date the account ends.
Again, I apologise for the incorrect info you were given when you called in. Sounds as though we may have a training issue around this topic.
I hope this puts your mind at ease concerning this issue. Give me a shout if you need any more details as will be happy to help.
