  • So I can't afford a repair, and I can't afford another car if they take that one away (for the aforementioned reasons). I don't see how we can do without one. I can't keep driving this one because surely it will only get worse.

If the oil level is now as it should be and it's still burning it then I'm assuming there must be permanent damage to the piston rings..

Push it off a cliff or have a "friendly" independent stamp the service book.

Oh and "silly" boy not for sticking to the terms and conditions and digging yourself in to such a hole.

I would not be surprised if you have invalidated your lease warranty as many terms and conditions place a clause in there wording stating the car must be serviced at the correct stages of it's life

I'm surprised your offering such dishonest advice tbh.

This forum is MoneySavingExpert, not RobUsExpert!
  • Is it petrol or diesel?

    It's a diesel
  • If you'd over-filled it with oil to such an extent that engine damage had occurred, I'd expect to see a fountain of oil being pushed out of the dipstick tube.

Stop worrying. There's nothing you can do about it until you know exactly what the problem is.

All sympathy from this forum has suddenly evaporated.........:rotfl:
  • I just phoned the garage and confessed to the blue smoke and not having serviced it. The guy on the phone was ok about it but I guess he doesn't swing the axe.

Taking it in on Monday for a service and to check out the problem. He said the fall out will depend if the problem can be attributed to the lack of service.

I omitted the details regarding my over excitement with the oil. :o
