Good Morning, my first post here. In bed with DH, waiting to have meeting with Satander about CC, taking MSE advice and changing CC.
Dinner is beef pie, very cheap neck of beef from Brixton market, is lovely and tender due to marinating with herbs etc
Must tidy as rich friends showing the their holiday pics tonight.0 -

No idea whats for supper will see what he feels like when he gets here, have some mushrooms, might do mushroom and bacon frittata with some salad.
Laid the fire filled the wood baskets, got in some spuds, going to make myself a coffee and enjoy the peace while I can...

BB makes a very good point Redruby, if your dad's not eating he's not even getting a tiny bit of fluid from food and if he's not drinking enough dehydration is going to add to his problems xx Big hugs from me.
Morning my lovelies
Still walking with a limp but I am at least walking. Pelvic joint is miles better than yesterday thankfully but still don't have full range of movement. Still it's getting better that's the main thing.
Sun is shining here and in an effort to think positive on a daily basis (am reading The Secret at the mo - OK you might think it's all a load of tosh but if it gives me a better mojo that's all good to me) I have decided to pick a song that makes me feel good. So have decided my song will be this

Listening to this just gives me the chills, especially when the music joins her singing :T:T
Anyway back to the business of OS. Been given yet another load of apples  so I see more pastry making on the horizon
Not sure what's for tea tonight but FIL dropped off a reduced cooked chicken last night so will probably use that for something.
Rest of the day will be spent trying to sort out some more Christmas craft and housework
Dazi - Big hugs from me. I hope they find out what's up with your mum. Keep posting on here, we're all here to give you some support even if it's via the 'puter xx
Essex-Girl - hope your poorly tum is better soon. Flat coke (the proper stuff) is your friend on this one, it's great for upset tums but it has to be the reall full fat stuff.....mmmmmm could just drink an ice cold glass of that now
Zippychick - Happy birthday, hope you have a wonderful day
Vouchersrme - welcome to the thread
Hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a good day OS or not.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Good morning from me, long time lurker, but I think this is my first post on the daily, although I did manage to meet some of you lovely OS'rs in Dublin last week and had a lovely time.
Not a great start to my day, yesterday I found a recipe for a spicy root veg and lentil cassarole, having loads of carrots, parsnips and potatoes in I thought I would give it a go. The recipe called for the hob but I thought I would do it in the SC on high before I went to bed last night. After 2 hours it was smelling gorgeous so I thought a little bit longer, switch off before I go to bed.......BUT I forgot to switch the bloomin thing off..GRRRR. Needless to say the cassarole is welded to the SC this morning, nothing salvagable, and I have a monster of a scrubbing job to do when I get home from work this evening....I think I am losing my marbles sometimes. Top that off with running late leaving the house, having to fill the car with petrol, after asking my OH to do it yesterday, think I need to just do things myself and then I know its done.
Have a good day everyone...hugs and good thoughts to anyone who needs them, expecially Csarina, Redruby and Dazi, partners and parents are a worry to us all.Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0 -
Cait just leave it soaking with some biological soap powder in while you're out and it should slip right off. Even better, leave it on at low

Thanks Jackie, will do. I will have to chisel the veg of the pot to start with......but I will try the biological powder, would never have thought of that. Thanks for looking that one up for me, because you never burn anything I am sure that was not a tip you ever needed eh?

Never mind, at least my evening is mapped out for me already, how good is that:rotfl:Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0 -

I'm running over an hour behind schedule today  It's like my body realises I don't need to get up early this week so is forcing me to catch up on sleep!
Currently muching some DIY branflake museli w/yog and a cappuccino whilst running a bath. I'm trying out goats milk(lactose, it's better maybe blahlah) and I can safely say it doesn't make anywhere near as good a cappuccino froth as soy milk!
Lots of bits to do today, would love to get in 3-4hrs of uni work but i'm not sure
- batch cook 3x lentil/veg bol, 3x beef bol
- 15 min tidy
- 2 hours of uni cwk
- work 2-6
- apply for one internship
- cinema or 2 hours of uni cwk?!
Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Just bumping this up as someone must have posted on yesterday's thread, as it is above this on the list?? Be back laterDGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

My boss gave me a glut of apples a little while ago, was wanting to try a apple jam recipe I found on here a couple of days ago but haven't got round to it. Must get it done today.0
