Cold Weather Payments

Do I assume that the triggers are updated daily? I had a trigger on the 17th when I looked on Monday......does that mean that if its below zero for another 2 days then by friday it should have another trigger?

I had another trigger on monday and my payments have been going in on a Wednesday but with next wednesday being over the Christmas holidays when do people think it will go into account?

Do they need staff to do all payments or can it be done without any Staff help?

5th trigger for Sennybridge CF44 yesterday for the period 22nd to the 29th December, 4th payment also paid into account yesterday

Mine are coming via giro for some bizarre reason (I get everything else in the bank) was really hoping it would be here today but the post has been and nothing
Really hope it arrives tomorrow as it was sent out at the beggining of the week.

I rang IS on Monday to sort out my cold weather payments. Lady i spoke to would only email whoever it was that dealt with issuing payments, and she said it could take 7 days for them to look at it.

Later that day though, i thought nah i'm not having this, esp when i know someone who was in the exact same position as me, and she had them sent straight out, so why can't i be treated the same. well before i got into rant mode, i was told, they had issued my payments, and to expect them in my account in 2/3 days.

Checked my account yesterday morning, to find they had only gave me one cwp, instead of the 3 that we're due at the time. Obviously i got straight back on the phone, and was told they have a backlog of payments.

How can that be i said.. clearly whoever it was that manually issued the one cwp, could have easily issued the others that are already well overdue. also turns out, they payed me for the 3rd period of cold weather. I said what about the first two? why pay me the 3rd, and miss out the first 2. Could they not be bothered to have a quick check of earlier triggers. She started to ramble on about backlogs again, so i told her i guess i'll just have to keep on piling money onto my gascard, until they decide they can be bothered to do their job properly.

Don't get me wrong, i'm very grateful for cold weather payments, but they could at least try and make sure, everyone that is entitled to them are being looked after. Same thing happened last year, and the problem wasn't fixed. It's a disgrace to be honest.

You would get much further with people if you were not so rude to them.
