5 bed in Croydon for 27.5k - sadly I suspect it may be a miss-price.
Thats actually an incredible (at proper value) price for Croydon.
Instead of pulling all these cheap properties what about the cheapest house near enough to peoples work to commute too.0 -
Except none of us work near thereThats actually an incredible (at proper value) price for Croydon.

A lot of Surrey is quite inexpensive when you really have a dig around.
e.g. Croydon starter price. £85k for this large studio - it's bigger than the one I was living in: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-30734312.html
Eidt: And this one, £90k, quite big, walking distance to station http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-26696002.html
Edit 2: 4-bed semi, looks clean enough, £149,995 http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-16547637.html0 -
:rotfl::rotfl:Kitchen is in the basement, does that make it unmortgageable ?
Unattractive, kitchen in the basement, bathroom off the kitchen. Need the loo in the night and you have to go dowstairs through the lounge, to the basement kitchen and find the bathroom!
I have to do that now! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Found this, will have to send the link to my DD

That isn't bad for where it is....
Mind you, I'm not keen on that aggressive looking washing machine that looks like it wants to take possession of the kitchen!0 -

:rotfl::rotfl:
Its pushed forward because of that pillar behind it, shouldn't be sited there, it needs a new kitchen, but other than that its not bad.0 -
Croydon is Surrey. Surrey is London.Croydon is London;)
Croydon is London.
London's bigger than just the 3 streets most inhabitants there seem to frequent/know.
I actually had a friend in London once ask me how nice was the New Forest as it was "down near me". On inspecting a map (as I had no idea where it was), it's a lot nearer to him/London than it is to me; the New Forest is just 90 miles from the centre of London - yet 180 miles from the Forest to where I live.
Many can't see outside the M25. Many Londoners think England stops at Dorset to the west.0
